Intel i9-11900K

Az Intel Core i9-11900K egy csúcskategóriás asztali CPU, amely a Rocket Lake architektúrán alapul. A CPU 8 magot és 16 szálat kínál 3,5 - 5,3 GHz-es órajelen (Turbo Boost 3.0 / TVB). A Turbo Boost 2.0-val 5,1 GHz érhető el egyetlen szálon. Az összes magot használva a CPU akár 4,8 GHz-es órajelre is képes. Az Adaptive Boost még magasabb többmagos frekvenciát tesz lehetővé (5,1 GHz-es összes magos Turbo), de sokkal több energiát fogyaszt.

A TDP 125 wattra (PL1, teljesítményhatár tartós terhelés) van megadva, de a PL2 250 watt körüli értékre van állítva rövid ideig tartó (legfeljebb 56 másodpercig tartó) boostoláshoz.

A gyorsabb magarchitektúrának köszönhetően a 11900K képes kompenzálni a Core i9-10900K-hoz képest hiányzó két magot. Az egy szálra koncentráló alkalmazások tehát sokat profitálnak a javuló IPC-ből. A játékteljesítmény csak kismértékben javul (játéktól függően). Összességében a magas magszámú AMD Ryzen modellek, mint például a Ryzen 9 5900X, még mindig előrébb járnak játékban és alkalmazásokban.

A Sunny Cove processzormagok (az Ice Lake mobil CPU-kból ismert) nagyobb gyorsítótárakat és jobb IPC-t (akár 19%-kal) kínálnak. A lapka emellett (részben) integrált WiFi 6E-t és Thunderbolt 4-et is tartalmaz. A platform támogatja a PCIe 4.0-t és az Intel DL Boostot az AI gyorsításhoz.

A gyorsabb Rocket Lake-S CPU-k egy új Intel UHD Graphics 750-et is integrálnak, amely a jelenlegi Intel Xe architektúrán alapul (pl. mobil Tiger Lake) és 32 EU-t kínál. A 11900K-ban a GPU 350 és 1300 MHz közötti órajelen működik.

A CPU a Comet Lake elődökhöz hasonlóan a régi 14 nm-es eljárással készül. Az energiafogyasztás ezért meglehetősen magas, különösen az Adaptive Boost engedélyezése esetén.
