Az új Zen 3 mikroarchitektúra a Zen 2-höz képest jelentősen magasabb IPC-t (utasítás/órajel) kínál. Az asztali processzorok esetében az AMD átlagosan 19 százalékos növekedést állít, az alkalmazásvizsgálatokban pedig 12% körüli növekedést mutattak ki azonos órajelen.
Az adatbázisunkban szereplő 5825U átlagosan ugyanabban a ligában játszik, mint a Ryzen 7 7735U és a Core i7-1270P , ami a többszálas benchmark pontszámokat illeti. Ami igazán jó eredmény, 2023 elejétől kezdve.
A tisztességes hűtési megoldásnak és a hosszú távú, 37 W-os CPU-teljesítményhatárnak köszönhetően a 2022 Envy x360 15 az általunk ismert leggyorsabb 5825U köré épített laptopok közé tartozik. Több mint 15%-kal gyorsabb lehet CPU-alapú munkaterhelésben, mint az adatbázisunkban szereplő leglassabb, ugyanezt a chipet tartalmazó rendszer, 2023 augusztusától.
A nyolc CPU-mag mellett az APU egy Radeon RX Vega 8 GPU-t is integrál, 8 CU-val, akár 2000 MHz-en. A kétcsatornás memóriavezérlő támogatja a DDR4-3200 és az energiatakarékos LPDDR4-4266 RAM memóriát. Továbbá 16 MB 3-as szintű gyorsítótár (a 4800U-nál található 8 MB-hoz képest) is megtalálható a lapkán.
Az APU TDP-je 15 Wattban van megadva (alapértelmezett), és a laptop gyártója 10 és 25 Watt között konfigurálhatja (a legtöbb chipet 15 Wattnál magasabbra konfigurálják). Ez azt jelenti, hogy a chipet vékony és könnyű laptopokba szánják (de ventilátorral).
