Intel i9-10980HK

Az Intel Core i9-10980HK a Comet Lake architektúrán (CML-H, a Skylake 4. generációja) alapuló, nyolc maggal rendelkező csúcskategóriás processzor laptopokba. A processzor órajele 2,4 és 5,3 GHz között van (mind a 8 mag 4,4 GHz-ig), és a Hyper-Threadingnek köszönhetően akár tizenhat szálat is képes egyszerre végrehajtani. Az 5,3 GHz csak 65°C maghőmérséklet alatt érhető el (Thermal Velocity Boost), 65 és 85°C között 5,2 GHz a maximum, e fölött pedig 5,1 korlátozással (Turbo Boost 3.0).

A processzor továbbra is a régi 14 nm-es (14nm++) eljárással készül. Az elődhöz, a Core i9-9980HK-hoz képest a 10980HK valószínűleg csak megnövelt alap órajeleket (és esetleg több magos turbó órajeleket) kínál. A szabad multiplikátornak köszönhetően a CPU is könnyen túlhajtottá tehető (de lehet, hogy nem lesz sok mozgástere).

A Comet Lake architektúra hasonló a Coffee Lake-hez, ugyanazokat a funkciókat kínálja, és ugyanabban a 14 nm-es eljárással készül. A javított órajeleken kívül a memóriavezérlő mostantól a gyorsabb DDR4-2933 RAM-ot is támogatja. További információk a Comet Lake-ről és a róla szóló összes modellről és cikkről itt találhatók.

A Core i7-10750H nem támogatja a vPro, TXT vagy SIPP technológiát. Ezek az üzleti funkciók a hasonló (és később megjelenő) Core i9-10885H-ban (2,4 - 5,3 GHz) elérhetőek.

Teljesítmény

A Core i9-10980HK teljesítménye a megnövelt turbó órajeleknek köszönhetően várhatóan nagyobb lesz, mint a régi Core i9-9980HK (2,4 - 5 GHz). A 8 magnak és a magas Turbo sebességnek köszönhetően még az igényes alkalmazásoknak is nagyon jól kell futniuk a CPU-n. A hosszú távú teljesítmény azonban mindig a laptop hűtőrendszerétől és a rendszer konfigurációjától függ. A bejelentés időpontjában az i9-10980HK a leggyorsabb Comet Lake-H CPU és a leggyorsabb laptop CPU a piacon. 

Grafika

Az integrált Intel UHD Graphics 630 iGPU elvileg hasonló teljesítményt nyújt, mint a Core i7-9980HK-ban található UHD630. Low-end megoldásként csak az aktuális játékokat fogja zökkenőmentesen futtatni csökkentett részletességgel - ha egyáltalán.

Energiafogyasztás

Az Intel a TDP-t 45 wattal adja meg, ezért az i9 csak nagyméretű, jó hűtési megoldásokkal rendelkező laptopokba való. A cTDP-down használatával a CPU 35 wattra is konfigurálható, ami csökkentett teljesítményt eredményez.
