Intel i7-10810U

Az Intel Core i7-10810U egy energiahatékony hatmagos SoC noteszgépekbe, amely a Comet Lake (CML-U) generáción alapul, és 2020 márciusában jelent meg. A hasonló Whiskey Lake processzorokhoz (pl. Core i5-8665U) képest az egyetlen különbség a nagyobb memória sebesség támogatása (DDR4-2666 vs. 2400) és a csúcsmodellben két további mag. A processzormagok 1,1 és 4,9 GHz közötti órajelűek. A CPU támogatja a vPro professzionális menedzsment funkciókat (az i7-10710U-tól eltérően).

A két további magnak és a magas órajeleknek köszönhetően az i7-10710U processzor teljesítménye a kategóriájához képest nagyon jó. A Whiskey Lake és az Ice Lake csúcsprocesszorokat is felül kell múlnia, ha a hűtés és a TDP beállítások nem korlátozzák.

Az integrált grafikus kártya viszont továbbra is ugyanaz, mint az előző generációkban. Továbbra is Intel HD Graphics 620-nak kell hívni és 300 - 1150 MHz közötti órajelet kell az i7-ben. Továbbá a SoC integrált VP9 és H.265 de- és kódolót, valamint egy integrált kétcsatornás DDR4-2666 / LPDDR4x 2933 / LPDDR3-2133 memóriavezérlőt.

A chip továbbra is 14 nm-es++ eljárással készül, mint a Whiskey Lake. A TDP (PL1) 15 wattban van megadva, de a gyártó 12,5 és 25 watt között variálható (cTDP up/down), ami eltérő teljesítményt eredményez (különösen a Turbo időtartamok). A teljes teljesítmény biztosításához az Intel az i7 esetében 90 W-os rövid teljesítménycsúcsot (PL4) javasol, tehát 8 W-tal többet, mint a négymagos CML-U CPU-k, és egész pontosan 19 W-tal többet, mint a Whiskey Lake. Ezért néhány vékony, 15 W-os CML-U CPU-kat tartalmazó laptop nem fogja kínálni az i7-et, mivel nem tudnak elegendő energiát és hűtést biztosítani a 6 mag teljes teljesítményének kihasználásához.
