Intel Core i5-1030NG7
Az Intel Core i5-1030NG7 egy energiahatékony, négymagos SoC laptopok és Ultrabookok részére, az Ice -Lake-Y generáción alapulva, amely 2019 májusában volt bejelentve (Computex). Négy Sunnycove processzort integrál (8 szál, a HyperThreading-nek köszönhetően) 1.1 (alap) - 3.8 (egy magos Turbó) GHz-es órajellel. Mind a négy mag 3.2 GHz-ig turbózható a Turbo Boost használatával. Az Intel szerint a Sunnycove magok 18%-al több IPC-re (Instructions per Clock, vagyis az egy órajelciklus alatt elvégzett műveletek száma) képesek.
A normális Core i5-1030G7-hez képest az i5-1030NG7 csomag kisebb méretű (22 x 16.5 kontra 26.5 x 18.5 mm), az alap órajel magasabb, 1100 kontra 800 MHz, valamint 1 wattal nagyobb a TDP.
A két további maggal kombinálva, az előző Y-sorozatú kétmagos processzoroknak (Amber Lake-Y) minden esetben lassúbbak kell lenniük. A rövid, robbanékony teljesítmény kimagasló kell legyen, a huzamosabb terhelés a laptop / táblagép TDP beállításaitól és hűtési megoldásától fog függni.
A legnagyobb előrelépés az Ice Lake esetében az Iris Plus Graphics nevű, 11. generációs integrált grafikus kártya. A Core i5-1030NG7 a legnagyobb G7 változatot 64 CU-val integrálja, 300-1050 MHz közötti órajellel. Az Iris Plus G7-nek kétszer olyan gyors kell lennie, mint amilyen az elődje, és az AMD Vega 10 GPU-nál jobban kell teljesítenie az aktuális Ryzen APU-kban. Az Y-sorozat játékteljesítménye viszont megint csak a hűtési megoldástól fog függni, és ez idővel világosan romolhat (összehasonlítva a Core i7-1065G7-tel pl. 15 - 25 watton).
Egyéb fejlesztések az Ice Lake esetében az AI hardveres gyorsítás, és a chipbe részlegesen integrált Thunderbolt és WiFi 6. A beépített DDR4 memóriavezérlő 3200 MHz-ig (és LPDDDR4 3733) támogat modulokat.
A Core i5-1030NG7 az új 10 nm-es eljárással készül az Intel-nél (2. generáció), amely várhatóan a TSMC 7 nm-es eljárásához hasonló teljesítményt nyújt. A TDP 10 watton van meghatározva, így a CPU vékony és könnyű laptopokban használható. Az Intel egy 12 wattig konfigurálható TDP-t kínál a partnereknek, lényegesen eltérő teljesítménykülönbségeket eredményezve (a Turbo Boost hosszabb periódusai miatt).
