Intel i7-7600U

Az Intel Core i7-7600U egy Kaby Lake-es, gyors kétmagos processzor laptopok számára, amelyet 2017 januárjában jelentettek be. Két, HyperThreading-képes CPU magot tartalmaz, amelyek órajele 2.8 - 3.9 GHz (2 magos Turbo, szintén 3.9 GHz). Emellett a processzorban található egy HD Graphics 620 GPU, egy dual-channel memóriavezérlõ (DDR3L-1600/DDR4-2400). 14 nm technológiával, és FinFET tranzisztorokkal készült.

Architektúra

Az Intel lényegében ugyanazt a mikroarchitektúrát használja, mint a Skylake-nél, tehát MHz-re lebontva nem különbözik a teljesítményük. A gyártó csak a Speed Shift technológiát dolgozta át, gyorsabb feszültség- és órajelváltásokat lehetõvé téve, valamint a fejlettebb, 14 nm technológia az eddigieknél jóval magasabb frekvenciát és nagyobb hatékonyságot tesz lehetõvé.

Teljesítmény

2.5-3.9 GHz-es órajelével a Core i7-7600U jelentõsen gyorsabb, mint a korábbi Core i7-6500U (2.5 - 3.1GHz). Ennek megfelelõen az i7-7600U is (2017 eleji bejelentésekor legalábbis) a leggyorsabb kétmagos processzor laptopok számára. A teljesítménye elegendõ erõforrásigényes feladatokhoz is (kivéve néhány olyan játék, amelyeknek négy fizikai mag kellhet).

Grafika

Az Intel HD Graphics 620 24 végrehajtási egységgel rendelkezik (hasonlóan a korábbi HD Graphics 520-hoz), és 300 - 1150 MHz-en dolgozik. A teljesítménye erõsen függ a memóriakonfigurációtól; gyors, DDR4-2133 dual-channel memóriával párosítva a Geforce 920M-hez mérhetõ.

A Skylake-kel ellentétben a Kaby Lake támogatja a hardveres dekódolást H.265/HEVC Main 10 esetében, 10 bites színmélységben, valamint a Google VP9 kodekje esetében is. A kétmagos Kaby Lake processzorok, amelyeket januárban jelentettek be, már a HDCP 2.2-t is támogatják.

Energiafogyasztás

A chip egy fejlettebb, 14 nm-es technológiával, és FinFET tranzisztorokkal készült, amely még hatékonyabb mûködést tesz lehetõvé. Az Intel még mindig 15 wattra specifikálja a TDP-t, de a notebook gyártók le tudják ezt venni 7.5 wattra (cTDP down). Ez természetesen kihat a teljesítményre, mivel a Turbo Boost nem lesz huzamosabb ideig fenntartható.
