A Dell Latitude 12 5285 jó üzleti átalakítható. A 2 az 1-ben készülék egy karcsú, vonzó csomagolásban egyesíti az ergonómikus kialakítást, megfelelő sebességet, és tartósságot. Igen, úgy néz ki, mint a Microsoft Surface Pro 4, de nem is vártuk a Dell-től, hogy csak azért ne használjon fel egy sikeres koncepciót, hogy különbözzön. A Travel billentyűzet jó visszajelzést ad, és kétszintű háttérfénnyel rendelkezik. Az Active Stylus remek plusz beviteli eszköz, és olyan funkciókat kínál, mint a Microsoft OneNote vagy más alkalmazások közvetlen indításának lehetősége. A Dell készülék két kulcsfontosságú dologban tér el a rivális(ok)tól: míg a kijelző felbontása alacsonyabb (ami egy üzleti gépnél nem akkora fegyvertény), a panel rendkívül világos, könnyedén maga mögé utasítva a többieket. Emellett az átalakítható gép könnyen karbantartható és bővíthető is lett, amely terület pedig hagyományos gyenge pontja szokott lenni a tablet alapú átalakíthatóknak.

A Latitude fő erőssége vitán felül a kijelző, amely nagyon világos, átlagos fényereje 520 nit feletti. 

Fő problémáink: az 5285 terhelés alatt erősen melegszik, és nehezebb is a vetélytársaknál. Egy Thunderbolt 3 port  szintén jól jött volna bele. Ezen felül a Latitude éppenséggel kifejezetten drága is, emiatt egyesek vonzóbbnak találhatják az Asus Transformer 3 Pro-t, vagy a folyadékhűtésű Acer Aspire Switch Alpha 12-t, még rövidebb üzemidejük ellenére is. A Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is jó választás lehet, főleg a Core i5-tel és 256 GB-os SSD-vel felszerelt változat, amely jelenleg valamivel 1300 dollár feletti áron kapható.
