Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. A HP a vetélytársakhoz hasonlóan Core-m CPU-val szereli az Elite x2-t a processzorgyártó Skylake generációjából. A teljesítmény több, mint tisztességes a legtöbb felhasználási módhoz. Tartósabb terhelés nyomán sem esik vissza a teljesítmény. A GPU azonban néha vissza kell fogja magát, ami rövid hűlés után újra visszaáll az eredeti teljesítmény szintre. A HP jobb munkát végzett a SoC hűtésével, mint például a Lenovo az IdeaPad Miix 700 esetében.

Hála a szilárdtest meghajtónak, a rendszer kifejezetten reszponzív. Ha kell, az SSD cserélhető egy nagyobb modellre, azonban ezt inkább hagyjuk meg egy szakembernek. A billentyűzet dokkoló tetszett, ami hasonló élményt nyújt, mint a konkurens megoldások. Külön pozitívum, hogy a billentyűzet háttérvilágítással is rendelkezik, ami az IdeaPad 700-ról hiányzik. Az akkus üzemidő mondhatni tisztességes. A kijelzőn azonban volna mit javítani. Nincs semmi kifogásolni való a kijelzőn, azonban ezért az árért kicsivel magasabb fényerő és kontraszt mindenképp elvárható volna.

Az Elite x1012 G1, mint azt a neve is sejteti, elsősorban az üzleti felhasználókat veszi célba. Ezzel ellenben az otthoni felhasználók érdeklődését is képes felkelteni a 2-az-1-ben készülék.

Vajon melyik 2-az-1-ben a legjobb? A Microsoft Surface 4 Pro, a Lenovo IdeaPad Miix 700, a HP Elite x2 1012 G1 vagy netán a Dell XPS 12 9250? A Dell azonnal kiesik a versenyből a közepes akkus üzemideje miatt. A többi három közül többnyire személyes preferencia, használati mód avagy anyagi keret alapján tudnánk különbséget tenni. Mindhárom jól teljesített tesztjeinkben, így könnyű szívvel tudjuk ajánlani őket. A Lenovo IdeaPad Miix 700 pénztárca kímélő árazásával igyekszik hódítani, és mint ilyen leginkább az otthoni felhasználókat nyerheti meg. Billentyűzettel és érintőtollal együtt a Miix 700-ért 950 eurót kérnek a kasszáknál. A Surface Pro 4-nek van a legvilágosabb és -kontrasztosabb kijelzője, továbbá a legnagyobb felbontása is. A HP Elite x2 1012 G1 a legerősebb CPU fronton. Akiknek beépített LTE modem kell, azok a Lenovo vagy a HP gépét választhatják. Még egy eszközt illik szem előtt tartani, éspedig a Galax Tab PRO S-t. Ezt a napokban vesszük górcső alá és remélhetőleg hamarosan közzé is tesszük tapasztalatainkat.
