Legacy képes. A Fujitsu egyike az utolsó gyártóknak, amely még a régi típusú forgó zsanérokat használta átalakítható eszközeinél, és a Lifebook P727 az első olyan készülékük, amely valódi 360°-os zsanérokkal van felszerelve, ezzel próbálva meg elcsalni vevőket a Dell, HP és Lenovo ügyfelei közül. Nehéz kitűnni egy kiemelkedő készülékekkel telített piacon. A Dell-nek kellemetlen tapasztalatai lettek a Latitude 5289-cel, és most a Fujitsu-n a sor. Kezdjük a pozitívumokkal: a ház remekül összerakott darab, prémium anyagokból készült, szilárd. A kijelző ugyan nem olyan világos, mint amennyire ígérték, nagyon jól teljesített, főleg színlefedettség terén. A csatlakozókínálat egyedi: nincs még egy átalakítható, amely teljes méretű VGA-csatlakozót, SD-olvasót, valamint Ethernet portot kínál, és emellé cserélhető telepet (még ha elég kicsit is) kínál. A billentyűzet nagyon jó, kényelmes rajta gépelni, és végül, de nem utolsósorban a Lifebook P727 egyes területeken választható LTE modemmel is (az USA-ban jelenleg nem).

Sajnos van pár negatívum is. A P727 le sem tudná tagadni Lifebook U-szériás örökségét, amely leginkább a pontatlan és kényelmetlen touchpad esetében ütközött ki. Ugyan a régebbi csatlakozók (VGA, Ethernet) támogatása miatt dicsérhetjük a Fujitsu-t, de a Thunderbolt 3 hiánya szomorú. Mivel a korábban megszokott dokkoló port is hiányzik az aljáról, így csak az USB-C dokkolási lehetőségek maradnak. A CPU hőmérsékleti korlátai sem éppen jól vannak eltalálva, mivel a teljesítőképességét nem tudja kiaknázni, és néha rosszabbul teljesít Core i5-ös testvéreinél is. Ezen felül a telep üzemideje is rövid.

Korábbi szabványos portok támogatása, és felhasználó által cserélhető telep: ezek a Lifebook P727 fő erényei. A borzalmas touchpad és az átlag alatti üzemidő viszont agyonvágja az egyébként jó benyomást.

Ennek megfelelően csak kikötésekkel tudjuk ajánlani a P727-et. Amennyiben régebbi hardverrel kellene együttműködnie a gépnek, például egy VGA projektorral, úgy a P727-nek van létjogosultsága. Ugyanez a helyzet azokkal is, akik ragaszkodnak a cserélhető telephez. Minden egyéb esetben az Elitebook x360 és a ThinkPad Yoga 370 jobb notebookok, hosszabb üzemidővel és jobb beviteli eszközökkel. Cserébe, ezek a 13.3 inches gépek kicsivel nagyobbak és nehezebbek, mint a P727.
