Intel i9-11980HK

Az Intel Core i9-11980HK egy csúcskategóriás, okta-core SoC a játékra szánt laptopok és mobil munkaállomások számára. A Tiger Lake H45 generáción alapul, és 2021 közepén jelentették be. Nyolc Willow Cove processzormagot integrál (16 szál a HyperThreadingnek köszönhetően). Az alap órajel a TDP-beállítástól függ, 45 wattos teljesítménynél 2,6 GHz-en van. Az egyetlen mag boost sebessége elérheti az 5 GHz-et (ITBM 3.0, szintén két mag), az összes mag 4,5 GHz-ig. A CPU 24 MB 3-as szintű gyorsítótárat kínál és támogatja a DDR4-3200-as memóriát. A szabad multiplikátornak köszönhetően a CPU is könnyen túlhajtható (de nem biztos, hogy nagy a mozgástér).

Az új Tiger Lake architektúrának köszönhetően az i9-11980HK egy- és többszálas teljesítményben jelentősen gyorsabbnak kell lennie a régi Intel Core i9-10980HK-nál (Comet Lake-H, 2,4 - 5,3 GHz, 16 MB L3), és hasonlóan a Ryzen 9 5980HX-hez (Zen 3, 3,3 - 4,8 GHz, 16 MB L3). Az i9 tehát a 2021-es év egyik leggyorsabb laptop CPU-ja lehet, és még a nagyon igényes feladatokra is jól használható.

A SoC a továbbfejlesztett, UHD Graphics nevű Xe grafikus kártyával is rendelkezik, mind a 32 EU aktív.

A Tiger Lake SoC-k továbbá PCIe 4 támogatással (20 sáv a H45 sorozatban), AI hardveres gyorsítással, valamint a Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 és a Wi-Fi 6E részleges integrációjával bővülnek a chipben.

Az olyan professzionális menedzsment funkciókat, mint az Intel vPro, a SIPP vagy a TXT az 11980HK nem támogatja, ellentétben a hasonló i9-11950H és Xeon W-11955M (ECC-támogatással) lapkákkal.

A lapka az Intel továbbfejlesztett 10 nm-es (10 nm-es SuperFin nevű) eljárásán készül, amely a TSMC 7 nm-es eljárásához (pl. Ryzen 4000-es sorozat) hasonlónak kell lennie. Az alapértelmezett TDP (PL1) 45 W, 65 Wattnál az alap órajel 3,3 GHz-re nő (cTDP up). A rövid kiugrású PL2 az alapprofilnál 107 Wattra, a teljesítményprofilnál 135 Wattra van megadva.
