The 2020 ROG Strix Scar 15 is mostly a hardware update of the 2019 model, with a few extra tweaks: a slightly cleaner interior and exterior design, as well as improved control over the RGB elements. Performance-wise, this remains a beast and one of the most powerful 15-inch notebooks out there, while it still runs hot and noisy on the Turbo profile, especially when sitting flat on a desk. Add in the rather small battery and the certain lacks in modern features, and this might not be as competitive this year as a performance-focused all-rounder, unless Asus compensates for its quirks with more aggressive pricing.

i9-10980HK:
A Comet Lake architektúrán alapuló processzor a nagy és nehéz laptopokhoz. Integrál nyolc, 3,1 - 5 GHz-es órajelű processzormagot, amelyek támogatják a HyperThreadinget. Továbbfejlesztett 14 nm-es eljárással (14nm++) gyártják. A bejelentés időpontjában az i9-10980HK a leggyorsabb Comet Lake-H CPU és a leggyorsabb laptop CPU a piacon. A szabad multiplikátornak köszönhetően a CPU könnyen túlhajtottá is tehető (de nem biztos, hogy nagy lesz a mozgástér).
