Az Intel Core i7-13700 egy gyors és viszonylag gazdaságos asztali processzor a jelenlegi Raptor Lake sorozatból. A processzor 2023 elején került forgalomba, és 2,1 GHz-es alapórajelet kínál. Turbó üzemmódban akár az 5,2 GHz-et is elérheti. Az Alder Lake-S-hez hasonlóan a Raptor Lake-S is hibrid kialakításon alapul, amely a P és E magokat kombinálja. Az Intel Core i7-12700-hoz képest az E-magok száma megduplázódott, így 8-ra nőtt, ami azt jelenti, hogy az Intel Core i7-13700 a 8 P-maggal együtt akár 24 szálat is kínál. A processzor továbbra is az "Intel 7" nevű 10 nm-es gyártási eljárással készül. Az Intel Core i7-13700 esetében nincs szabadon választható szorzó (szemben a gyorsabb i7-13700K ), és továbbra is az Alder Lake szériával bevezetett LGA 1700-as foglalat szolgál alapul.
Az Intel Core i7-12700-hoz képest az új Core i7-13700 IPC-je némileg megnőtt. Ugyanakkor a 4 további E-mag most valamivel nagyobb teljesítményt nyújt a többszálú feladatokhoz. Ezzel az Intel Core i7-13700 az Intel Core i7-13700-as egy Intel Core i9-12900K , amely szintén összesen 24 szálat kínál.
Az Intel Core i7-13700 processzor integrált grafikus egységgel rendelkezik. Az Intel UHD Graphics 770 azonban csak irodai használatra és nagyon régi vagy alacsony igényű játékokra alkalmas.
Az Intel Core i7-13700 TDP-értéke 65 watt PL1-ben. Az Intel a PL2-es határértéket 219 wattban határozza meg. Ha a BIOS-ban kikapcsoljuk a fogyasztásra vonatkozó korlátozásokat, akkor a PL2 értéket tartósan elérhetjük, sőt jó hűtéssel akár meg is haladhatjuk. Ehhez azonban jó minőségű és nagy teljesítményű hűtőegységet kell használni.
