AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
Az AMD Ryzen 9 5950X egy csúcskategóriás 16 magos, hyper-threading technológiával (SMT) felszerelt Vermeer sorozatú asztali processzor. Az új zászlóshajó 32 szállal rendelkezik, ugyanannyival, mint az AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. A 2020 október 8-án bemutatott Ryzen 9 5950X a leggyorsabb 16 magos processzor, 105 wattos TDP-vel.
A Ryzen 9 5950X alap órajele 3,4 GHz, amely turbó üzemmódban egyetlen maggal eléri a 4,9 GHz-et. Viszont még abban az esetben is elérheti a 4,5 GHz-et, amikor mind a 16 mag aktiválódik.
Az AMD Ryzen 9 5950X teljesítménye folyamatosan nagyon magas minden alkalmazásban, és lényegesen jobb, mint az AMD Ryzen 9 3950X teljesítménye. Az AMD-nek főleg az egyszálas teljesítményen sikerült javítania, és ezen a téren még az Intel Core i9-10900K -t is sikerült legyőznie. A többszálú teljesítmény a 16 magnak köszönhetően kiemelkedő.
A processzor belső szerkezete első ránézésre alapvetően nem sokat változott. A CCX szerkezete kissé másabb, mint a Zen2 esetében, mivel a CCX most 8 magból áll. Így tehát minden egyes mag hozzáférhet a teljes L3 gyorsítótárhoz (32 MByte). Továbbá a CCX modulok ugyanazon az I/O die-n keresztül vannak egymáshoz vannak csatlakoztatva, amit már a Zen2-ből ismerünk. Az AMD szerint az Infinity szerkezet most már elérheti a 2 Ghz-es órajelet, aminek köszönhetően a RAM órajel elérheti a 4,000 MHz-et, telejsítményveszteség nélkül.
A gyártási folyamathoz az AMD szintén a TSCM-re támaszkodik a Vermeer processzorokhoz 7 nm-es eljárással legyártott CPU magok esetében, viszont az I/O die még mindig 12nm-rel van előállítva a Globalfoundries által.
Játékokban az AMD Ryzen 9 5950X teljesítménye folyamatosan lenyűgöző a lényegesen jobb IPC-nek köszönhetően, és könnyedén túlszárnyalja az AMD Ryzen 9 5900X-et. teljesítménye. Az AMD Ryzen 9 5950X tökéletes CPU a tartalomalkotók számára, mivel a játékok mellett az új zászlóshajó az egyidejű streaming-nek is a mestere. Aki viszont kizárólag játszani szeretne, az jobban teszi, ha felfigyel az olcsóbb AMD Ryzen 7 5800X vagy az AMD Ryzen 5 5600X modellekre.
