Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobilplatform egy csúcskategóriás SoC okostelefonokhoz, amelyet 2022 végén mutattak be, és 4 nm-es gyártású a TSMC-nél (N4P). Négy különböző processzorklasztert tartalmaz. Egy nagy és gyors fő magot, amely az ARM Cortex-X3 architektúrán alapul, és akár 3,2 GHz-es órajelre is képes a 64 bites alkalmazásokhoz. Két további, akár 2,8 GHz-es órajelű, ARM Cortex-A715 architektúrán alapuló, nagy teljesítményű processzormag (szintén 64 bites alkalmazásokhoz). Két további, legfeljebb 2,8 GHz-es órajelű Cortex-A710-es teljesítményű mag, amelyek régebbi alkalmazásokhoz is használhatók, valamint három hatékonysági mag (ARM Cortex-A510, legfeljebb 2 GHz-es órajelű). Minden mag használhatja a 8 MB-os megosztott 3. szintű gyorsítótárat.
Az új architektúrának és a magas órajeleknek köszönhetően az SD 8 Gen 2 a leggyorsabb mobilprocesszor az Android-alapú készülékek számára, és csak a jelenlegi Apple SoC-k, például az Apple A16 előzi meg (lásd az alábbi benchmarkokat).
A chip egy Hexagon gyorsítót is tartalmaz az AI-munkaterhelésekhez (tenzor, skalár és vektor). A Qualcomm szerint ez az egyik első olyan chip, amely támogatja az INT4-et, és akár 4,35-szörös teljesítményt nyújt az előző generációhoz képest.
A 18 bites ISP képes akár 200 MP-es fotók feldolgozására és akár 8k30-as videók feldolgozására (beleértve a 10 bites, HDR10+, HLG és Dolby Vision funkciókat).
A Snapdragon 8 G2 nagy előrelépése az integrált Adreno 740 GPU, amely már támogatja a hardveres raytracinget, és még az Apple A16 iGPU-t is felülmúlja.
Az integrált AI-motor a nagyobb Tensor-motornak köszönhetően akár négyszer gyorsabb AI-teljesítményre képes. A 18 bites ISP szintén jelentős fejlesztéseken esett át, és mostantól Snapdragon Sight néven fut.

Az integrált Snapdragon X70 5G modem szintén új, akárcsak a FastConnect 7800 modem, amely támogatja a Wi-Fi 7 és a Bluetooth 5.3 szabványt.
