NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU
Az Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU vagy 3080 Ti Mobile (laptopokhoz, GN20-E8) a leggyorsabb grafikus kártya notebookok számára 2022 elején. A GA103S Ampere chipre épül, és 7424 shaderrel és 16 GB GDDR6 grafikus memóriával rendelkezik, 256 bites memóriabusszal. Támogatja a PCIe 4.0-t és különböző változatokban lesz elérhető (jelenleg 80 - 175 Wattos TGP ismert). A maximális Boost órajel 1125 (80 W) és 1590 MHz (150 W és magasabb) között változhat.
Nincs már Max-Q változat (korábban az alacsony fogyasztású változatoknál használták), de minden OEM választhatja a Max-Q technológiák (Dynamic Boost, Whispermode) megvalósítását.
A teljesítmény a TGP-beállítástól és a laptop hűtésétől függ. A magasabb magszámnak köszönhetően az RTX 3080 Ti egyértelműen gyorsabbnak kell lennie a régi RTX 3080 Mobile-nál, így 4K-s játékra is jól használható.
A GA103S chip 7680 FP32 ALU-t kínál, amelynek fele INT32 utasításokat is képes végrehajtani (azaz 3840 INT32 ALU). A Turinggal az összes shader még mindig FP32 vagy INT32 utasításokat tudott végrehajtani. A GA103 60 Raytracing magot és 240 Tensor magot (pl. a DLSS-hez) integrál. Az L2 gyorsítótár 4 MB. Az Ampere chipek egy továbbfejlesztett 5. generációs videokódolót (NVENC a H.264 és H.265 kódoláshoz) és egy 7. generációs dekódert (különböző formátumokhoz, most már az AV1-et is beleértve) is tartalmaznak. A GA103-hoz képest a GA103S csak 256 bites memóriabuszt integrál.
A GA103 chipet a Samsung 8 nm-es (8N) gyártásban készíti, ami nem igazán képes lépést tartani a TSMC 7 nm-es node-jával (amelyet például az AMD használ, és a professzionális GA100 Ampere chiphez is).
