Apple iPad Pro Tablet Touchscreen

Kiváló tablet, de nem pro. Az iPad Pro 10.5 az Apple Pro szériájának második generációja. Egyértelműen a kijelző a fő erénye. Nem csak nagyobb lett, de 120 Hz-es, HDR és elvileg P3 színlefedettséggel rendelkezik. Az A10X lapkakészlettel a gép a legjobbak között van, de még mindig nem vált ki egy notebookot.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Az Apple úgy döntött, hogy nem dolgozza át teljesen az iPad Pro 10.5, hanem inkább csak az igazán fontos dolgokon javít. Az új kijelző különösen lenyűgöző, kevéssé tükröződő és HDR, amely filmek, sorozatok és játékok szerelmeseinek nagy örömére szolgálhat. Az ígért P3 színlefedettségnek sajnos nem találtuk nyomát, csak a kisebb sRGB-t tudja.

A tablet kommunikációs moduljai kiválók, de még mindig nem támogatja az európai Galileo GNSS helyzetmeghatározást. Az Apple a memórián is spórolt, amely lassabb elődjénél, bár ez a mindennapos használat során nem tűnik fel.

Sok apró dolgot javítottak az Apple iPad Pro 10.5-ön, és jelenleg határozottan az egyik legjobb tablet.

Összességében, az Apple kiváló készüléket alkotott, amely a tabletek közt magasra tette a lécet. Az egyetlen igazi riválisa a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, amely azonban régebbi lapkakészlettel és kevesebb tárhellyel van felszerelve. A háttértár növekedett ugyan, de a kezdőár is: $649. A legkisebb modell (64 GB) legtöbbeknek bőségesen elegendő lesz, főleg, hogy az audio és video tartalmak jelentős részét streamelve nézzük manapság. Úgy véljük, hogy a legjobb vétel a második, 256 GB-os modell, amely még kicsit olcsóbb is elődjénél, miközben ugyanakkora a kapacitása. Az 512 GB-os változatot pedig azoknak javasoljuk, akik saját multimédia gyűjteményt építenek, vagy a tabletjüket kép-/videofeldolgozásra is szeretnék használni.

Az iPad Pro 10.5 annyira jól teljesít, hogy esetleg laptop kiváltására is megpróbálhatjuk felhasználni. Akár UHD videószerkesztés, vagy képfeldolgozás Adobe Lightroom-ban, az iPad Pro 10.5 gyorsan, és hatékonyan dolgozik, bár a Smart Keyboard szerintünk nem a legtökéletesebb, és igazán csak kemény felületeken működik jól. A Safari böngésző gondjai a CMS-ekkel és más összetett, webes alapú alkalmazásokhoz, idegesítőek, és a fájlmenedzsment sem elég rugalmas. Emiatt az iPad Pro-t kiváló tabletnek tartjuk, de nem vált ki egy laptopot.
