Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

A Samsung Galaxy S10 az eddig áttekintett két S10 modell között a jobbiknak számít. Ergonomikusabb a Galaxy S10+-hoz képest, viszont üzemideje még mindig kiábrándító. Akinek olyan okostelefonra van szüksége, amelyik kibír egy egész napot két töltés között, az ne ezt válassza.

A középszerű üzemidő ellenére ez egy kitűnő okostelefon. A Samsung bőkezűen ellátta a készüléket olyan funkciókkal, amelyekkel a versenytársak nem rendelkeznek, a kijelző és az egész kialakítás pedig példaértékű. A kétirányú vezeték nélküli töltés lehet, hogy csak egy fogás, de a fülhallgató jack és a bővíthető tárhely megkülönbözteti a kortársaitól. Ezenkívül a kettős Bluetooth 5.0 is hasznos, ahogy a hatalmas tárhely opciók is. Az ultrahangos ujjlenyomat-olvasó szintén nagyszerű, és sokkal jobb a piacon jelen levő képernyős ujjlenyomat-olvasóknál.

Az Exynos 9820 szintén megállja a helyét más zászlóshajó SoC-kkel szemben, emellett a Samsung azzal is büszkélkedhet, hogy az S10 és az S10+ az első okostelefonok között vannak, amelyek az új WiFi 6-os standardot támogatják. Sajnos az S10 aránylag kevés LTE-sávot támogat ahhoz képest, hogy egy csúcskategóriás telefon, és azt sem tudjuk megérteni, hogy a Samsung miért hagyja ki folyamatosan az aptX HD-t.

A Samsung Galaxy S10 egy fantasztikus zászlóshajó okostelefon kevés gyenge ponttal. Ugyanakkor szinte semmi újat nem hoz a piacra, és a gyenge üzemidő egyeseket csalódást fog okozni.

Az S10 kitűnő kamerákkal is rendelkezik, és az új ultra-széles látószögű szenzornak sok ember fog örülni. Viszont már három Galaxy S generáció telt el anélkül, hogy bármilyen nagyobb előrelépés történt volna a kameratechnológiában, ez idő alatt pedig a Samsung versenytársai felzárkóztak vagy éppen felülmúlták a dél-koreai céget. Röviden, a Galaxy S10 az egyik létező legjobb okostelefon, de nem tud annyit, amennyivel igazán kiemelkedhetne a mezőnyből, mint ahogy azt az elődei tették.
