Szeretjük a ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 egyedi koncepcióját, és azt, amit képvisel. Mivel a második képernyő a fő képernyővel azonos szélességű, és azonos PPI-vel rendelkezik, ergonomikusabb a használata, mint a 2015-ös Razer Blade Pro, az Asus ZenBook 15 UX534 vagy ar HP Omen X 2S 15 aránytalan második képernyője. A hátránya az, hogy Asus-nak nagy áldozatokat kellett hoznia annak érdekében, hogy egy ekkora második képernyőt integráljon. Legfőképpen, az UX581 vastagabb, nehezebb és jóval drágább, mint a tipikus zászlóshajó Ultrabook vagy multimédiás laptop, ami ezt a rendszert inkább egy asztali gép helyettesítőve teszi, mint valami igazán hordozhatóvá.

Egy furcsaság, amit a válogatós szakemberek utálhatnak, az a két képernyő közötti minőségbeli különbség. A szupergyors válaszidővel rendelkező fényes OLED alapvetően nagyon másképp fog kinézni, mint a lassúbb válaszidővel rendelkező matt IPS. Gyanítjuk, hogy a 3840 x 1110 felbontású OLED panelek készlete korlátozott, így az Asus-nak nem volt más választása, mint IPS-t használni a ScreenPad Plus-hoz.

További hátrányok közé tartozik a rövidebb üzemidő, az egyetlen tárolóhely, valamint hiányzik mind az SD-olvasó, mind pedig a tapintható NumPad, amelyeket a tartalomkészítők vagy szakemberek nagyobb valószínűséggel használnak ki. Ideális esetben a következő ZenBook Pro Duo iterációk képesek lennének a második képernyőt egy olyan vázra integrálni, amely egy elegáns Razer Blade 15, XPS 15, vagy Spectre x360 15 Ultrabook méretének és súlyának felel meg egy közepes méretű gamer notebook helyett. Addig is, az UX581-en kívül más, jobb kétképernyős élményt találni nem lehet.

Az Asus ZenBook Pro Duo UX581 az eddigi legérettebb kétképernyős notebook. Kisimítja az eredeti ScreenPad néhány gyűrődését, egy természetesebb asztali élmény érdekében. Ennek ellenére a kétképernyős notebookok még gyerekcipőben járnak, és a ZenBook Pro Duo sorozatnak a jövőben biztosan előnyére válna egy könnyebb és vékonyabb kialakítás.
