Kétségtelen: a ZenFone AR az első telefon, amelyen a Google Tango AR appok simán futnak. Ugyanakkor az alkalmazások jelenlegi kis számát (kb. 30) figyelembe véve - amelyek többsége inkább csak játékszer - jelen állapotában a Tango messze nem létfontosságú. A kérdés: készek vagyunk-e kiadni 800 dollár plusz áfát egy eléggé hiányos AR élményért? Valószínűnek tartjuk, hogy a legtöbbek számára nem a Tango lesz döntő érv a ZenFone AR mellett, különösen azért, mert a Google Daydream VR szemüvegeket még külön kell megvennünk a készülékhez.

A ZenFone AR-t csak a Google Tango miatt nem éri meg megvenni. A bővített valóságot nem számítva azonban csak egy jó, de túlárazott okostelefon marad.

A készülék árának feléért kapható LG G6 ugyanolyan gyors, mint a ZenFone AR. Még az Asus TriCam sem elegendő ahhoz, hogy lenyűgözzön minket. Igen, a képek határozottan jól sikerülnek vele, de igen messze van a legjobbaktól. Emellett az üzemideje is nagyon rövid, így a ZenFone AR viszonylag hamar feladja.

Összességében, az Asus ZenFone AR egy jól összerakott, kiváló minőségű, WQHD OLED kijelzős okostelefon, amelynek teljesítménye több, mint elégséges a mindennapi appokhoz és játékokhoz, és a kommunikációs moduljai is nagyon gyorsak.
