Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

A szerző kb. egy hónapon keresztül használta napi szinten a ZenFone Max Pro (M2)-t, és a telefon nagyrészt megfelelt az elvárásoknak. A telefon üvegutánzat dizájnja nem mindennapinak számít ebben az árkategóriában, és minden bizonnyal feltűnést fog kelteni - mindaddig, amíg tisztán tartjuk. A kijelző élénk és a Gorilla Glass 6 védelem segít a karcolások megelőzésében. A teljes dizájnt illetően, azt kapjuk, amennyit fizetünk, egy kis extra fűszerezéssel, hogy kitűnjön a tömegből. 

Az összteljesítmény mind a szintetikus, mind pedig a valós tesztekben kielégítő volt. A lefokozott SoC kiábrándítónak tűnhet, ha a pontszámokat nézzük, de nem befolyásolja negatívan a mindennapi használatot, mint a hívások, üzenetek, közösségi hálók, fotók/videók, vagy akár a játékok, közepes beállításokon. Mindemellett érzékelhető SoC fojtást tapasztalhatunk folyamatos terhelés alatt. Úgy tartjuk, hogy az ilyen problémáknak egy része firmware optimalizálásokkal enyhíthető. 

Az Asus ZenFone Max Pro (M2) olyan teljesítményt kínál, amely megfelel a tavalyi zászlóshajók teljesítményének, és egy korszerű dizájnt, versenyképes áron. Figyelembe véve az alap Android élményt, egy nagyon jó kijelzőt, átlagon felüli kamerát és egy időszerű frissítés ütemezést, a ZenFone Max Pro (M2) a legjobb középmezőnyös okostelefonok közé tartozik 200 dollár alatt, amely könnyedén kiválthat egy zászlóshajó-gyilkost anélkül, hogy erre rájönne a felhasználó.

Ógy tűnik, hogy az Asus hallgatott a ZenFone Max Pro (M1)-re adott visszajelzésekre, és felhasználók javaslatait alapul véve javításokat hajtott végre a Max Pro (M2)-n. Nem tökéletes, de meg vagyunk elégedve azzal, amit kínál. Ahogy haladunk tovább 2019-ben, számíthatunk rá, hogy az Asus és más versengő márkák megküzdenek, és még több korábbi zászlóshajó-szintű funkciókat fognak kínálni 200 dollár alatt.
