Az Xperia XZ, a látnok, sajnos nem elég erős, hogy kirobbantson egy forradalmat. A teszt modellünk sok dologban túl konzervatív, és nem vállal kockázatot. "Forradalmi" helyett inkább megbízhatónak neveznénk.

A marketingkampány fő eleme a kamera: van néhány jó funkciója, de kimondottan átlagos, összehasonlítva a vetélytársakkal. Ezen kívül hiányzik belőle a képstabilizátor, amely javítana a képminőségen, rossz megvilágításban is. Az Xperia XZ-vel átlagos képeket lehet készíteni, a legtöbb vetélytársához hasonlóan.

Üzemidő, kijelző színhűség, WLAN sebesség és fogyasztás terén az Xperia XZ gyengén teljesít. Egy 700 eurós (~$763) okostelefontól többet várnánk. A lassú memóriahasználat különösen idegesítő, mert jelentősen megnöveli a játékok betöltésének idejét.

Azért a Sony sok dolgot jól csinált: a szoftverek sok, új felhasználók számára hasznos beállítással rendelkeznek, és a telefonhoz adott eszközökkel a hangok és a kijelző színei is javíthatók. A stílusos külső határozottan jó pont. A hangszórók és a gyenge melegedés szintén előnyös. Különösen értékeljük az ügyfélhűség-app, Xperia Lounge ajánlatait.

Összefoglalva, az Xperia XZ sok területen határozottan átlagos. Mint ilyen, nem képes kiemelkedő okostelefon lenni. Bár egy jó okostelefont alkotott a Sony, hiányzik belőle a valós innováció.

Tudjuk, hogy a Sony képes forradalmasítani az okostelefonok piacát: az Xperia Z5 Premium és más kompakt csúcsmodelljeik bizonyítékok a kreativitásukra. Ennek ellenére az Xperia XZ nem feszegeti az okostelefonok meglévő korlátait. Annak ellenére, hogy egy megbízható, csúcsminőségű készülék, a képességei nem biztos, hogy 700 eurót (~$763) érnek, hiszen sok vetélytársa, mint a OnePlus 3, a Galaxy S7 vagy az iPhone 7, amelyek sokkal jobban teljesítenek.
