To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Az Alienware 15 R3 minden mai játékot akadásmentesen jelenít meg matt FHD kijelzőjén.

Semmi kompromisszum: Minden játék simán fut, maximális részletességen is.

Amennyiben a jövőben a GPU kevés lenne, csatlakoztathatunk külső GPU-t Thunderbolt 3, vagy Graphics Amplifier által.

Az NVMe SSD-nek köszönhetően a rendszer szélsebes. Háttértárnak pedig a készüléket felszerelték egy 1 TB-os merevlemezzel is. Mindkettő meghajtó cserélhető. A gép üzemideje is kiváló a teljesítményéhez képes.

A kijelző is komoly változást jelent a már tesztelt 15 R3 modellhez képest. Míg testvére egy 120 Hz-es TN panelt kapott, a jelenleg tesztelt példány egy 60 Hz-es IPS panellel büszkélkedhet. A 15.6 inches matt kijelző betekintése stabil, kontrasztaránya jó, és fényereje is megfelelő. A válaszidő az egyetlen, amelyben elmarad a TN paneltől.

A korábban tesztelt Alienware 15 R3-nak komoly gondjai voltak a hőmérséklet és zaj terén, mivel a CPU nem egyenletesen melegedett fel. Ezt a problémát ebben a tesztpéldányban nem tapasztaltuk.
