Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

A Galaxy J7 (2016) képében a Samsung visszafogottan, de hatékonyan átalakította középkategóriás 5.5 inches okostelefonját. A 2016-os kiadás egyik fő erénye a fém ház, amely jobb minőségű kivitelezést, és nagyobb stabilitást kínál elődjénél. A teljesítményt is felsrófolták azzal, hogy a nyolcmagos Snapdragon 615 lapkakészletet leváltották a Samsung Exynos 7870 Octa-ra, és megnövelték a RAM mennyiségét 1,5-ről 2 GB-ra. Még egy pozitívum: az új kiadás frissebb Androiddal -  Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow az Android 5.1 helyett - érkezik. 

A ráncfelvarrás megérte: ha jó, megfizethető középkategóriás okostelefont keres valaki, úgy a Galaxy J7 (2016) a megfelelő jelölt lehet.

Az előd erényei - a Super AMOLED kijelző, a 13 MP-es hátlapi, és 5 MP-es előlapi kamera, valamint a kivehető akku - megmaradtak. Az utóbbi ráadásul még nagyobb kapacitású is lett a Galaxy J7 (2016)-ban, kiváló üzemidőt adva a telefonnak.

Sajnos a Galaxy J7 (2016)-nek is van pár gyenge pontja. A lassú Wi-Fi, a fényerőszenzor hiánya, a középszerű hang, és a csak közepes minőségű fő kamera említést érdemelnek. Ebben az árfekvésben az ujjlenyomatolvasó sem lenne elrugaszkodott óhaj. Érzékenyebb felhasználóknak feltűnhet, hogy bizonyos fényerősségek mellett a kijelző zavaróan vibrál. Alapjában véve, ezek nagyjából ugyanazok a dolgok, amelyeket a Galaxy J5 (2016) esetében kritizáltunk. Tehát, amennyiben 50 eurót szeretnénk spórolni, és nem jelent gondot a kisebb (5.2 az 5.5 inch helyett) kijelző, valamint a lassabb lapkakészlet, úgy a Galaxy J5 (2016) is szóba jöhet.
