Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

X-es okostelefon – ezúttal nem jót ikszeltek be. Az LG X power2 nem kifejezetten rossz készülék, csak éppen sok hasonlóan árazott telefon jobb. Azt, hogy az X power2 100 euróval (~$118) drágább az LG X Power-nél, szerintünk semmi nem indokolja. A teljesítménye alig nagyobb, a kijelzője és az üzemideje valamivel jobb. Ezt leszámítva az LG X power2 egyes területeken (pl.: fogyasztás, fényerő) még rosszabbul is teljesít elődjénél.

Azért van néhány erénye is az LG X power2-nek: a ház elég robusztus, kategóriájában nem számít rossznak a teljesítménye, a hangszóró meglehetősen erős és nem torzít, valamint a készülék sem erősebb melegedést, sem lefojtást nem produkál. Természetesen a telep is figyelemre méltó, de ebben az árfekvésben más készülékek, például a Samsung Galaxy J7, vagy a Lenovo P2 is tudnak ennyit. Ezen felül a 100 eurós (~$118) áremeléssel az LG anélkül lökte fentebbi kategóriába a telefont, hogy erre felkészítette volna: a kijelző felbontása sok riválisnál alacsonyabb, a kamera kevésbé jó fotókat csinál és a tárhely kapacitása is a sor vége felé kullog. A pontos GPS modul azonban kellemes meglepetés volt. A WLAN sebessége már kevésbé, mivel lassú, és kevesebb LTE sávot támogat, mint versenytársai.

Az LG X power2 egyszerűen túl drága a képességeihez mérten: alacsony felbontás, gyenge kamera, és csak közepes teljesítmény. A riválisok egyszerűen lesöprik. A hosszú üzemidő jó, de ebben az árfekvésben ez sem egyedi különlegesség.

Aki olyan okostelefont keres, amelynek remek az üzemideje, és nem sajnálja a pénzt, az egy viszonylag jól felszerelt telefonra tehet szert az LG X power2 megvételével. Ugyanakkor a riválisok, például a Lenovo P2 vagy a Samsung Galaxy J7 jelentősen többet ad a pénzünkért. Tipp: az előd modell, az LG X Power csak 150 euró (~$177) körüli összegbe kerül online boltokban, és hasonlóan hosszú üzemidővel bír.
