Sugárzó. Az LG G7 ThinQ a G6 utódja, amely 2017-ben egyike volt az első 2:1 (avagy 18:9) képarányú kijelzővel felszerelt telefonoknak. Az LG láthatóan követi a 2018-as okostelefonos trendeket, így a G7 ThinQ is kicsípett kijelzőt kapott. A képernyő ennél jóval többet is tud, mivel a G7 ThinQ az első mLC kijelzős okostelefon, emiatt extrém világos képet tud adni. Az LG a kamerát is fejlesztette, és szokás szerint frissítette a hardvert a Qualcomm legújabb csúcs lapkakészletére. Cikkünkből kiderül, hogy mégis miért marad el kicsivel a jelenlegi csúcstelefonoktól a G7 ThinQ.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The display backlight flickers at 1174 Hz (Likely utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 42 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting.

The frequency of 1174 Hz is quite high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering.

Az LG G7 ThinQ több dologban javult az LG G6-hoz képest. Az óriási, 6.1 inches kijelző ugyan szokatlan lehet az LG G6 tulajdonosok számára, mi mégis örültünk volna, ha az LG nem ennyire kompaktra csinálja a G7 ThinQ-t. A Snapdragon 845 lapkakészlet előrelépés a Snapdragon 835-höz képest, ez előnyösen hat a rendszer teljesítményére is. A gyártó többek között a Hi-Fi Quad DAC segítségével a hangminőség terén is sok dolgot jól oldott meg. 

Az LG G7 ThinQ technikai szemszögből lenyűgöző okostelefon. Ugyanakkor nem igazán tud kiemelkedni egy telített piacon, magas ára pedig akadályozhatja, hogy a többi csúcstelefontól hódítson el érdeklődőket.

Az elődjénél kisebb telep kapacitás szégyen, de a G7 ThinQ így is sokat ki tud hozni viszonylag kicsi, 3000 mAh-s akkujából. A kijelző lenyűgöző, bár a fényszenzor lehetne kevésbé konzervatív erősen megvilágított környezetben, például kültéren, egy napsütéses délutánon. A WiFi gyors és stabil, ez jó pont. A hab a tortán, hogy az európai változatba bekerült a vezeték nélküli töltés lehetősége, ez nem így volt az LG G6 esetében. Az LTE Cat. 18 támogatás is jó, bár kissé feleslegesnek tűnik, mivel Németországban a készülék sem VoLTE, sem VoWiFi támogatással nem rendelkezik.

Egy modernebb USB csatlakozót nagyon szívesen láttunk volna a készülékben, főleg a 849 eurós árat figyelembe véve.

A kamerát a mostani tesztek során nem tudtuk megfelelően értékelni, mivel a készüléken kiadás előtti szoftver fut. Az LG nyilatkozata szerint a végleges szoftver is hamarosan érkezik. A kamerát akkor újra megvizsgáljuk, és véglegesítjük vele az LG G7 ThinQ tesztjét.
