Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Még egy sor dolog van, amely a HTC U11 Life-ot kiemeli a versenytársai közül. A HTC újító szemléletét és innovativitását újra, és újra meg kell említenünk, már csak a középkategóriába frissen bedobott USonic és Edge Sense technológiák miatt is. Az Android One filozófiájának hála pedig még évekig el leszünk látva frissítésekkel, amely különösen annak fényében megnyugtató, hogy szinte hetente újabb biztonsági hibákat fedeznek fel. Ezen felül, egy 349 (~$426) eurós készülék esetén nem feltétlenül számítottunk egy ennyire remek tartozék fülhallgatóra. Ugyanakkor ennyire bádoghangú hangszóróra sem, főleg nem a HTC-től.

A HTC U11 Life sok területen remekül teljesít: jó üzemidő, elég jó kijelző, a kategóriájába illő teljesítmény. A ház stílusos, bár átlagos minőségű, és az új kezelési lehetőségeken kívül az Edge Sense sajnos új problémákat is hozott, például néha magától is aktiválódik. A kamera is jól teljesít, de nem kiemelkedő a riválisokhoz képest.

Garantált, rendszeres biztonsági frissítések - ez már magában is erős érv a HTC U11 Life mellett. A remek fülhallgató és a jó üzemidő hasonlóképpen jó érvek. Sajnos a rossz hangszóró, a dedikált audio csatlakozó hiánya, valamint a pontatlan navigáció ellene szólnak.

Mindent egybevetve, érdemes kézbe venni, és kipróbálni a HTC U11 Life-ot. Vásárlóként érdemes mérlegelni, hogy mennyire tetszik a ház, mennyire használjuk ki az Edge Sense-t, és együtt tudunk-e élni a középszerű hangszóróval? Hiányolni fogjuk a dedikált audio csatlakozót? Fontos a navigáció funkció? Amennyiben ezeket az aggályokat félre tudjuk tenni, a HTC U11 Life meggyőzhet minket, főleg ha a rendszeres biztonsági frissítéseket nagyra értékeljük.
