A GX531 kiemelkedik néhány kulcsfontosságú területen. Amellett, hogy vonzóan karcsú, vékony keretekkel, a játék közbeni maghőmérséklet alacsonyabb mint vártuk, és maga a kijelző is hatalmasat fejlődött a GX501 kijelzőjéhez képest, amelyen a ghosting nagyon feltűnő volt. A váz egyedi dizájnja természetesen azt jelenti, hogy a gombok túlmelegedése soha nem lesz egy probléma.
