The ZenBook 14 is an excellent mainstream notebook from ASUS with lots to like and little to fault. The overall design is outstanding, especially when you consider it is more compact than most 13-inch notebooks and it even meets the MIL-STD-810 standards for ruggedness. It also has a ton of useful and thoughtful features too, such as the ErgoLift hinge, the NumberPad, and full-size USB-A and HDMI ports. General performance was good too and the battery life is decent for a system with its specifications. And then there’s its attractive price. The only things that count against it are the lackluster graphics performance, lack of Thunderbolt 3 support, and the narrow trackpad. All things considered, it’s one of the best bang for buck notebooks you can buy, thus earning our Best Value seal of approval.

It’s built extremely well, it can be carried around with ease, has good internals, and even has a secondary display which adds a ton of multitasking capabilities. There’s not much to complain about either, just that it’s not fit for gaming or editing long videos. Yes, the price is slightly premium, but you pay for the form factor and the uniqueness of that ScreenPad. The base variant with a Core i5 chip starts at Rs. 79,990 and if your budget permits, you should get the Zenbook 14 UX434. It’s surely one of our favorite laptops of the year, and we’re pretty sure you will be of the same impression once you get your hands on it!

While Windows is a major factor when considering something other than a MacBook, it is time we admit that Windows machines are getting pretty good too. Spec for spec, feature for feature, ASUS is giving you a touchscreen laptop with a 3k OLED display, really good speakers, a solid battery life, and a durable chassis. But then as I said in the headline, it is skipping the basics. It still ships with a clunky charger and no 360-degree mode. The bottom line is if you’re someone who frequently travels, or needs a light and powerful laptop, the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED is a good choice. It has great specs and a good display for work and multimedia consumption. You’ll just have to live with the occasional glare under direct sunlight, and maybe use a lighter third-party charger.

The last time I was this excited about a laptop, it was when ASUS launched the first iteration of the ROG Zephyrus G14, which is also when AMD beat Intel at its own game with the Ryzen 9 4900HS. Fast forward to today, and it’s clear Intel is intent on coming back with a vengeance. Granted, I really wish at least one of the USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports were located on the left side, and that ASUS didn’t skimp on Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 but hey, Wi-Fi 6E is still plenty fast. From the powerhouse Meteor Lake CPU, to the laptop’s sleek lightweight chassis, right down to the Macbook-esque battery endurance, and with a starting SRP of RM4,499. It is fast, it looks great, its battery life is phenomenal, its screen is one of the best I have seen, and its keyboard and trackpad are nifty. It is an all-rounder, and the fact that it weighs just 1.3 kgs makes it all the more appealing. In other words, if you are looking for a premium work or college laptop, or just a laptop that you can carry with you everywhere, the Zenbook 14 OLED perfectly fits the bill. Sure, it is expensive but then all good things in one way or another are.

There’s also the higher-end configuration with Core Ultra 7 155H + 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD, but that one in my opinion is slightly worse off in terms of value proposition. If I didn’t have a particular need for a firepower-heavy laptop today, this would be my next laptop.

Integrált GPU (GT2, 24 EUs), amely egyes Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU modellekben található meg (15 W ULV széria). Technikailag azonos az előző HD Graphics 620-szal.
NVIDIA GeForce MX250:
Az MX150 utódja, amelynek az alapja még mindig ugyanaz a Pascal GP108 chip (hasonlóan az asztali GT 1030-hoz), de nagyobb órajellel. Két változatban kapható, egy normál 25 wattos verzióban és egy alacsony fogyasztású, 10 wattos TDP-vel, és csökkentett teljesítménnyel. A 25 wattos változat 21%-kal nagyobb órajelet kínál a régi MX150-hez képest, ami 5%-os teljesítménynövekedést eredményez.

AMD Cezanne (Zen 3, Ryzen 5000):
R7 7730U: Zen 3 alapú, 2 GHz-től 4,5 GHz-ig terjedő órajelen futó és Vega 8 iGPU-val (8 CU, akár 2000 MHz-es órajelen) ellátott okta-core APU laptopokhoz. A 2022-es Ryzen 7 5825U frissítése azonos specifikációkkal.
Intel Intel Meteor Lake-H:
Ultra 7 155H: Egy csúcskategóriás Meteor Lake chip, amely 2023 decemberében debütált. Ez az 1. generációs Core Ultra processzor a 13. generációs Core chipek leváltására érkezett; 16 maggal (6 + 8 + 2) és 22 menettel rendelkezik. A Performance magjai, amelyekből 6 van, akár 4,8 GHz-en, míg a Efficient magjai, amelyekből 10 van (8 fő mag plusz 2 extra, amely a Low Power Islandben található), akár 3,8 GHz-en futnak. Az integrált AI Boost NPU két Gen 3 motorral rendelkezik a hardveres AI-munkaterhelés gyorsításához. Ennek a laptop processzornak a "minimálisan biztosított" energiafogyasztása 28 W, míg a Turbo energiafogyasztása állítólag 115 W-on belül marad.
