Kontra
A Vaio SX14 elvileg a márka nagy visszatérése a nyugati piacra. Vajon sikertörténet ez a visszatérés? Bizonyos szempontból igen, de sajnos a Vaio két meglehetősen nagy hibát követett el.
Először a modern Sony Vaio utód pozitívumaira összpontosítsunk. Nagyon tetszik a rendkívül könnyű váz, amely a könnyűsége ellenére bizonyos mértékben stabil is. Szeretjük a kényelmes billentyűzetet is. A matt képernyű nem túl élénk, de elég nagy az sRGB színskála lefedettsége ahhoz, hogy lehetővé tegye a képszerkesztést. A port választék bőséges. Különösen a VGA port az, amelyet manapság nem találunk meg más notebookokon. Az is dícséretes, hogy minden modell (legalábbis itt, Németországban) rendelkezik LTE-vel - ez nem minden versenytárs esetében van így. Végül, de nem utolsósorban, a Vaio SX14 jó CPU teljesítményt nyújt, és hűvös marad kívül, még terhelés alatt is.
Egy ultrakönnyű notebook mobil internettel és sok porttal - ez úgy hangzik, mint egy fantasztikus mobil munkagép, de mit ér a kitűnő menet közbeni kapcsolat, ha az üzemidő gyenge? A belső akkumulátor sajnos nagyon kicsi, és még 5 órát sem képes működtetni a Vaio SX14-et a WiFi tesztben. Úgy tűnik, mintha a Vaio túl nagy hangsúlyt fektetett volna az alacsony súlyra, szándékosan kisebb akkut használva, hogy csökkentse a súlyt. Ez gyakorlatilag azt jelenti, hogy a Vaio menet közben hosszabb ideig használhatatlan egy hordozható töltő nélkül. A második nagy negatívum a ventilátor vezérlés: Rendkívül idegesítőnek találjuk, hogy a ventilátor állandóan működik, nem számít, hogy üresjáraton vagy terhelés alatt van. Ez egyszerűen felesleges. Mindezen problémákat szem előtt tartva, a Vaio SX14 további hátrányai, mint a Thunderbolt 3 port hiánya, a kis méretű érintőpad, a rossz hangszórók, az ISO billentyűzet választásának hiánya és a magas ár már csak szőrszálhasogatásnak tűnik.
Gyenge üzemidő és egy idegesítő ventilátor sakk-matt helyzetet eredményez a Vaio SX14-el szemben - a tagadhatatlan pozitívumai ellenére.
Tényleg ajánlani szeretnénk a Vaio SX14-et. A kompakt, könnyű dizájn nagyon vonzó. Sajnos csak nem tudjuk megtenni, a rossz üzemidő és az idegesítő ventilátor vezérlés miatt. Nagy kár, mert ebben a gépben sok potenciál van. A Vaio-nak csak újra kéne dolgoznia a ventilátor vezérlést és betennie egy nagyobb akkut a következő verzióba - még akkor is, ha ez valamivel nagyobb súlyt eredményez.
