A Schenker XMG Ultra 15 örökölte 17 inches testvére, az XMG Ultra 17 erényeit és gyengeségeit is. Véleményünk szerint, az egyszerűen szervizelhető ház elismerést érdemel (elvileg a CPU és a GPU is cserélhető!). A Schenker online konfigurátorában alaposan testre szabható. A beviteli eszközök, hangminőség és a portválaszték (Thunderbolt 3) megfelelnek az XMG árcímkéjének. 

Ugyanakkor a 120 Hz-es, G-Sync-képes kijelző meglehetősen vegyes benyomást keltett. A jó fényerő és válaszidő sem tudja feledtetni a pocsék színhűség, közepes fényerő eloszlás, rossz betekintés és a némileg magas fekete érték által keltett csalódottságunkat.

A legkomolyabb kritikánk pedig a ventilátorzajt illeti. A vastag ház ellenére játék közben elég hangos a 15 hüvelykes gép. Egyszerűbb feladatok közben is szükségtelenül zajos. Mivel a processzor és a videokártya sem ért el soha kritikus hőmérsékletet, van némi játékterünk, hogy csendesebbé tegyük a hűtést. Ehhez manuálisan a “Control Center”-ben igazítani tudunk a ventilátor sebességén. A szerény üzemidő egy újabb érv amellett, hogy az XMG Ultra 15 ne kapjon ötöst tőlünk.

Ugyanakkor, ha mindent egybevetünk, akkor láthatjuk, hogy az XMG Ultra 15 remekül helyt áll olyan riválisokkal szemben, mint az Acer Predator 15, az MSI GT62VR 7RE és az Alienware 15 R3.
