Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Egy 200 eurós (~$236) okostelefontól nem várhatunk sokat, nem igaz? A Nokia 5 pont a fenti állítás ellenkezőjének ékes bizonyítéka, mivel meglehetősen sokat nyújt képességek és teljesítmény terén is. Ezért a pénzért ugyanis egy elég gyors, nyolcmagos Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 lapkakészletet, egy nagyon világos HD kijelzőt, széles frekvenciasáv-lefedettségű LTE Cat.4-et és egy jó, 13 megapixeles kamerát kapunk. A naprakész Android 7.1, a hosszú üzemidő és a stílusos alumínium ház (ujjlenyomat olvasóval) szintén a Nokia 5 mellett szólnak.

A gyors, stílusos és jól összerakott Nokia 5 remek középkategóriás okostelefon, amely viszonylag kevésért is sokat nyújt.

Háttértár terén lejjebb kell adnunk, mert sajnos 16 GB-nál többet nem tudunk belepréselni. A gyártó USB-C csatlakozót sem épített a készülékbe. Ezen felül az egyébként éles képű kijelző enyhén kékes színeket, és a kép sarkaiban furcsa világosabb foltokat produkál. Összességében azonban a Nokia több dologban teljesít jól, mint ahányban nem, ezért megérdemli az ajánlásunkat.
