Magas elvárásokkal vettük ki a dobozból a Lenovo Legion Tabot, és az a jó hírünk, hogy teljesített is. Méghozzá jól. Az egyetlen konkurense ebben a méretben az Apple iPad mini, mely utoljára 2021-ben frissült, ám még így is drágábban kapható kevesebb tárhellyel, és ugye iPadOS rendszerrel, ami sokaknál kizáró ok lehet. Nem a Legion Tab a legjobb ár/érték arányú táblagép, ha a teljes piaci merítést nézzük, akkor a Xiaomi továbbra is az élen jár a Pad 6-tal, és a nemrég tesztelt Redmi Pad Próval. Viszont mindkét említett modell 10” feletti kijelzővel van felszerelve, ami meg a normál táblagépes méretkategória, nem a kompakt. Aki kicsi androidos táblagépet akart, az bele volt kényszerítve abba, hogy kompromisszumot kössön gyenge hardverrel, alacsony felbontású kijelzővel.

During normal usage, the back of the machine stays pleasantly cool. If you plan to game a lot, the hard back case will help for a bit better heat dissipation which is important when gaming for an hour or two. In this case, the area close to the camera feels warm but not extreme. The screen isn’t an OLED one, which means it lacks the typical flicker that is usual for this kind of panel.

If budget is not a major concern, you could also consider the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus ($999.99 at Samsung). It offers an incredible 12.4-inch AMOLED display, flagship performance, and tons of premium features, but it will cost you nearly twice as much as the Legion Tab. If you are simply looking for a compact tablet, there are almost no real competitors on the Android side right now outside of the Pixel Tablet ($499 at Amazon), which hasn’t aged that well, and is larger anyway. The only real alternative is the iPad Mini ($459 at Amazon), but that decision comes down to which ecosystem you prefer more than anything else. I still do not think small tablets will appeal to the masses. There is a reason why companies often abandon smaller flagship phones after a few generations. The same might happen with compact tablets. But whether the world embraces them or not, the Lenovo Legion Tab made me remember how fun and practical a well-designed tablet can be.

If you’re looking for a desktop replacement or something to work from, I don’t know that this is your device. But if you want a content consumption monster, I don’t know many that get it done better than this Legion Tab Gen 3. Qualcomm Adreno 730:

Qualcomm Adreno 750: Grafikus chip okostelefonok és táblagépek számára, amely a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC-be van integrálva. A Qualcomm állítása szerint 25%-kal gyorsabb, mint a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-ben lévő Adreno 7340, és az első benchmarkok azt mutatják, hogy a GPU képes legyőzni a Apple A17 Pro iGPU-t.

Qualcomm Adreno 830: Integrált grafikus egység a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC-ben okostelefonok számára három, egyenként 1,1 GHz-es szelettel. Integrált 12 MB megosztott gyorsítótár a három szelethez. A Qualcomm szerint 40%-kal gyorsabb, mint az előző generáció (Adreno 750).

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8:

SD 8+ Gen 1: A 2021 végén bemutatott, okostelefonokba szánt csúcskategóriás SoC, amelyet 4 nm-es gyártáson gyártanak a TSMC-nél. Egy ARM Cortex-X2 architektúrán alapuló, akár 3,2 GHz-es órajelen működő "Prime Core"-ot integrál. Három további teljesítményű mag az A710-en alapul, de legfeljebb 2,5 GHz-es órajelen működik. Ezenkívül négy energiatakarékos magot is integráltak, amelyek az ARM Cortex-A510 architektúrán alapulnak, és legfeljebb 1,8 GHz-es órajelen működnek. A processzormagokon kívül a SoC egy WiFi 6e modemet, egy Hexagon DSP-t (az AI gyorsításhoz) és egy Spectra ISP-t is integrál.
