Az X555DA-t nehéz lenne ajánlani, főleg azért, mert a régebbi, Intel alapú X555LN és X555LD konfigurációk is lenyomják az AMD-s verziót. Általában, ha a hardver lassabb, és olcsóbb, hosszabb üzemidőre és kisebb melegedésre számíthatunk. Az X555DA azonban a hátrányokat egyesíti magában: teljesítménye és üzemideje is átlag alatti.

A lassú AMD APU-t leszámítva is vannak problémák az Asus hardverével. A fedél és a billentyűzet alapja könnyebben hajlik be, mint azt ideálisnak tartanánk, és az 1080p TN kijelző színhűsége csapnivaló. A korábban piacra dobott  Broadwell-es, de még a Haswell-es notebookokkal is jobban járunk, mint ezzel az AMD-s konfiggal.

Ez a notebook alkalmatlan olcsó, fogyasztói számítógépnek, mert az üzemideje rövid, a kijelzője gyatra, valamint a teljesítménye alacsony. Három, vagy akár négy évvel ezelőtti Inteles változatot választani majdnem minden szempontból jobban megéri.
