Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Még ha a Samsung Galaxy XCover 4 annyira nem is ellenálló, amilyennek kinéz, sok okostelefonnál sokkal védettebb. A robusztus műanyag ház nem tűnik bumfordinak, és még a telep is cserélhető. A víz és por elleni védelem jobb lett, mint az elődjében volt, és a hangszóró már akkor is hibátlanul működik, amikor a telefon vizes. Vízalatti használat után találtunk egy csepp vizet a hátlap alatt. Emiatt a készüléket szétszedve szárítottuk.

A telefon tárhelykapacitása lehetne bőségesebb, de a remek operációs rendszer, és a meglehetősen jól használható elsődleges kamera jól teljesítettek. A beviteli lehetőségeink változatosak, a kijelző megfelelő és a készülék teljesítménye elegendő a mindennapi feladatokhoz. Az üzemidő is hozzájárul a jó benyomáshoz, amely a telefonról összességében kialakult. A hangminőséggel és a játékteljesítménnyel vannak gondjaink azért.

Elődjéhez hasonlóan a Galaxy XCover 4 sem alkalmas igazán extrém körülmények közötti használatra, de remekül megbirkózik a mindennapok bizonytalanságaival. A kemény burkolat alatt egy jó, középkategóriás telefon rejlik.

Azok, akik felső kategóriás strapatelefont keresnek, ténylegesen extrém körülményekre, jobban teszik, ha a specialistáknál néznek körül. A Samsung egy kicsit megerősített átlagkészüléket alkotott, amely valamivel erősebb igénybevételt is kibír, például egy kis túrázást, vagy látogatásokat egy építési területen. Mivel a telefon meglehetősen olcsó, és kiváló GPS modullal van ellátva, ezért ezekre a feladatokra tökéletesen alkalmas.
