A CX62 teljesítménye átlag alatti, főleg nagy méretét és tömegét figyelembe véve. Az ULV Kaby Lake CPU és a belépő szintű GeForce 940MX rossz választás bármilyen teljesítményt igénylő feladatra a böngészést és multimédia streamelést leszámítva. Játékok futtatása legnagyobbrészt 768p-re, és nagyon alacsony beállításokra korlátozódik, főleg modern 3D-s címek esetében, miközben a ventilátornak emellett van egy olyan idegesítő tulajdonsága, hogy terhelés alatt pulzál. A ház, míg külsőre tökéletes mása a remek GE62-nek, hajlékonyabbnak tűnik, olcsó hatást kelt. Ezen felül a TN kijelző gyárilag rosszul kalibrált, gyenge kontrasztú, és nem túl erős a háttérvilágítása sem.

A notebookkal szembeni kevés enyhítő körülmény nem más, mint az NVMe M.2 slot, és a jó hűtés. Az előbbi az általunk tesztelt HDD-s konfigurációhoz képest jelentősen javíthatja a rendszer válaszidejét, bár a végfelhasználói "babrálás" garanciavesztő. Emellett az alacsony maghőmérséklet sem meglepő, hiszen a vaskos ház a gaming G sorozat leszármazottja, amelyben sokkal magasabb CPU és GPU hőtermelés a szokványos. Ez lehetővé teszi a CX62-nek, hogy egyszerre tartson fenn gyorsabb Turbo Boost-ot, és melegedjen kevésbé, mint a hasonló ULV processzoros rendszerek.

A CX62 tulajdonképpen egy legyengített játékos noteszgép héja, amelybe olcsó multimédia notebook alkatrészeket pakoltak. Túl sok mindenen spórolt a gyártó, a felhasználók jobban járnak, ha valamivel többet kiadnak egy rendes Ultrabookért, amelyben ilyen, vagy jobb CPU és kijelző kapott helyet.
