A Lenovo frissíti a felhozatalát, és most a ThinkPad T470p-t is ellátta egy nagyon erős Kaby Lake CPU-val, amelynek teljesítménye bőven elég bármilyen tervezett felhasználási módhoz. A memória (8 GB DDR4), bár nem bőséges, de elégséges, és bármikor bővíthető. A biztonsági funkciók igazi üzleti géppé teszik a Lenovo ThinkPad T470p-t. Emellé a gyártó még egy dedikált videokártyát is pakolt, amely a játékok egy részét képes elfogadhatóan megjeleníteni. A háttértár teljesítménye nagyon jó, és sokkal járul hozzá a rendszer sima futásához. A végkövetkeztetés azonban így is ugyanaz: a 2099 eurós (~$2367) ár elég jelentős ezért a gépért. Ennyiért más nagy teljesítményű 14 inches üzleti gépet is lehet kapni, ugyancsak remek beviteli eszközökkel.

Ezen kívül is van néhány panaszunk a Lenovo ThinkPad T470p-re: ugyan a kijelző fényereje elfogadható, elmarad az elvárhatótól. Az sem szimpatikus, hogy a Lenovo egy új készülékbe, amelyet elvileg még évekig használni fogunk, nem éppen modern csatlakozókat pakolt. Legalább egy USB 3.1 Type-C port kellene a gépbe, amely a Thunderbolt-ot is támogatja. Végül pedig a hűtő teljesítményén is javítani kellene a notebook utódaiban. 

Nagy teljesítményű négymagos versenyzőként a 14 inches mezőnyben, a T470p jelenleg tényleg egyedi tulajdonságokkal rendelkezik.

Összességében, a Lenovo ThinkPad T470p jó benyomást keltett. A kiváló rendszer teljesítmény és a dedikált GPU sokoldalúbbá teszik a gépet. Az irodai munka mellett a Lenovo ThinkPad T470p multimédia feladatokra is alkalmas, és néhány játékkal is gond nélkül megbirkózik.
