Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

A Lenovo Legion Y720 jól sikerült, határozottan komoly vetélytársa lehet a többi gaming laptopnak. Jól összerakott gép, amelynek designja, és a ház színei is jól illenek a célközönséghez. Az egyetlen komoly hátulütője, hogy a felületei vonzzák az ujjlenyomatokat.
Játéknál a beviteli eszközök fontosak, különösen a billentyűzet, amely nagy gombokkal, és menő vörös háttérfénnyel nyűgözött le minket. A jövőbeli változatokon azonban lehetne hosszabb a billentyűútja, és határozottabb a visszajelzése. A képernyő szintén fontos. A Lenovo egy Full HD IPS panelt használt, amelyet átlagosnak mondhatunk. A specifikációk szerint a Lenovo tervez egy 4K kijelzőt is a felhozatalhoz adni. Akik ezt nem akarják megvárni, az MSI gépei között nézelődhetnek. 

A teljesítmény több, mint elégséges: a Legion Y720 ugyan belassulhat kicsit terhelés alatt, de ennyire a vetélytársak is be szoktak. Az új notebook jó pontszámokat ért el hő- és zajtesztjeinken, az Y720-nak ez az egyik fő erőssége. A Lenovo gaming gépe akkuról is elég sokáig bírja.

Lenovo Legion Y720 pontosan az, aminek szánták: egy valódi gaming laptop.

Emiatt más területeken azért kompromisszumokra kényszerült a gyártó. Azok azonban, akik olyan gaming gépet keresnek, amelyik elég jó, és néha-néha el lehet menni vele a konnektor közeléből, nem járhatnak rosszul a Lenovo Legion Y720-szal.

Valamivel mobilisabb - főleg, ha a szállíthatóságot nézzük - az MSI GS63VR, amely elérhető 4K kijelzővel is. Azok, akik pedig nem szeretnének 1700 eurót (~$1865) elkölteni, vessenek egy pillantást az Acer Aspire V15 Nitro-ra és az Asus FX502VM-re.
