Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

A tesztjeinkből kiderült, hogy a CAT S31 pontosan az, aminek a gyártó ígérte: egy megerősített okostelefon, amely szinte bármilyen körülmények között használható. Azzal együtt kell élnünk, hogy a hardver nem a legmodernebb, de alternatív megoldásként választhatunk az AGM sokkal olcsóbb kínálatából. Okostelefonként értékelve az S31 egy belépő szintű készülék stabil alap teljesítménnyel. Egyszerű appok és netezés nem jelent számára gondot. Ha pedig szükséges, még kesztyűben is tudjuk használni.

A CAT S31 stabil okostelefon, amelynek fő feladata, hogy ne essen szét. Ezt teljesíti is, de erőforrásigényesebb alkalmazások futtatására nem képes.

Egy ilyen robusztus készülék megvásárlása jó ötlet lehet. Kemény, szögletes design, szükséges tanúsítványok, minden megvan. Ezek azonban az összes gyártó hasonló készülékeinél jelen vannak. Az pedig, hogy a CAT S31 tényleg kibírja-e a tőle elvárhatót, azt csak a felhasználók tapasztalatai, vagy az erre specializált tesztek mutatják meg. Az S31 nagyon jó benyomást tett ránk, de a ház és a teljesítmény nem képes elvinni a hátán a magas árat.
