A Predator 17 X jó alternatíva az "egyszerű" Predator 17-tel szemben még úgy is, hogy az Acer nem minden hiányosságot tudott kijavítani. A teljesítményre biztosan nem lehet panasz: az Intel Core i7-7820HK jól összeillik az Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080-nal. Egyes benchmarkokban rekordteljesítményt nyújtott, tehát ez valóban egy igen erős játékos gép. A dizájn hasonló a többi Predator modellhez.

Az Acer új versenyzőt indított a felső kategóriás gaming szegmensben. A Predator 17 X erős gép, amely komoly vetélytársa a hasonló gépeknek.

A jó beviteli eszközök és a remekül összerakott ház tetszett, de a kijelző vegyes érzelmeket keltett. A fényerő jó, de a válaszidő magas. További pozitívuma a gépnek az, hogy túlhúzható, amely jelentősen növeli a teljesítményét. A processzor így kicsit hamarabb eléri a hőlimitjét, de még mindig jobban teljesít, mint az alapbeállítások használatával.
