A felszínen az ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX502GW jelenleg az egyik legjobb gamer notebook, ami kapható. Van azonban néhány idegesítő gyengesége, ami egyeseket elriaszthat.

A készülék kompakt és karcsú kialakítású, mégis hihetetlenül erős komponenseket hordoz magában. A csúcskategóriás CPU-nak és GPU-nak köszönhetően erőfeszítés nélkül képes futtatni minden, az utóbbi években megjelent tripla A-s játékot magas vagy maximális grafikai beállításokon. Alacsony válaszidejének, a G-sync támogatásnak és 144 Hz-es frissítési frekvenciának köszönhetően a játékok kinézete is tökéletes kéne legyen. Viszont el kell tűrni az alacsony kontrasztot és a szörnyű üzemidőt. Ha nem játszunk, ajánljuk az Optimus aktiválását, mivel a GPU nagyon gyorsan lemeríti az akkut, ha állandóan engedélyezett.

Az ASUS ROG Zephyrus S GX502GW sok mindenre képes. Stílusos, kompakt, és nagyszerű játékélményt ad. Viszont zajos, hiányzik néhány hasznos port, és szörnyű az üzemideje.

Nem tudjuk viszont megérteni az ASUS által hozott egyes döntéseket. A RAM fele az alaplapra forrasztott, ami meggondolatlanságnak tűnik, mint ahogy az a döntés is, hogy ne legyen kártyaolvasó, kamera vagy Thunderbolt 3 port. Végül pedig, a GX502GW túl zajos és forró ahhoz képest, hogy egy prémium, vékony és könnyű notebook.

Röviden, néhány érv a GX502 sorozat mellett szól az Aero 15-X9 vagy a Razer Blade 15 helyett. Az egyik lehet a Max-Q nélküli GPU, de egy teljesen RTX 20 szériás notebooknak megvannak a hátrányai. A GX502GW mégis egy jó választás azoknak, akik egy 15.6 hüvelykes gamer notebookot szeretnének, de nem éri el azt a mércét, amit a Gigabyte és a Razer felállítottak.
