To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Az első alkalom, hogy egy Xiaomi telefon nem csak megközelíti az elit okostelefonokat, hanem közöttük is találja magát - ez az árban is tükröződik. Közel 1,000 eurós árával a kínai gyártó Mi sorozata már nem az az értékajánlat, ami évekig volt, de a vásárlók most egy prémium okostelefon-élményt kapnak, amely a többi gyártó zászlóshajó okostelefonjával verseng. A kitűnő funkciók közé tartozik a minőségi beépített vibrációs egység, nagy valószínűséggel a legjobb sztereó hangszórók egy okostelefonon, kiváló felépítés és nagyszerű kamerák, bár a széles látószögű lencse minősége még mindig kissé elmarad főleg az olyanokétól, mint a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra és a Huawei P40 Pro. Ezt viszont kárpótolják a Mi 10 Pro zoom funkciói (max. 10x-es zoom), amelyek kiemelkedőbbek, mint a versenytársak periszkóp kamerái.

Hasonlóképp a kijelző is méltó egy 2020-as zászlóshajó okostelefonhoz. A Mi 10 Pro paneljének nagy a frissítési frekvenciája, jó a színpontossága és nagy a fényereje. Mindeközben indokoltak azok a kritikák, amelyek felteszik a kérdést, hogy a kínai gyártó miért nem ugrott ki teljes erővel (120 Hz, 1440p), annak ellenére, hogy az emberek többségénél a mindennapi használatot nem valószínű, hogy különösebben hátrányosan érintené, főleg direkt összehasonlításban a OnePlus 8 Pro-val. Egyéb érzékeny pontok az IP tanúsítvány hiánya, és az, hogy az USB port sebessége 2.0-ra van korlátozva.

Igen, a Mi sorozat már nem olcsó. A Xiaomi zászlóshajójának viszont igazolt a nagyon magas ára - legalábbis más csúcskategóriájú okostelefonokhoz viszonyítva.
