A Galaxy S20+ ára már sokat esett, röviddel azután, hogy a Samsung piacra dobta 999 euróért. Ez egyértelműen jó hír a fogyasztóknak, mivel kevesebbért megkaphatják ugyanazt az okostelefont. Az európai felhasználók viszont egy olyan Galaxy S20+-t fognak kapni, amely nem használja ki a benne rejlő lehetőségeket. Elsősorban azért van ez így, mert a Samsung saját lapkakészletével, az Exynos 990-nel szereli fel a készüléket, amely a Snapdragon 865-tel szemben több területen is hátrányban van. Röviden, az európai Galaxy S20+ 5G kapcsolata gyengébb, terhelés alatt erős a throttling, és gyengébb a CPU teljesítménye is, mint a Snapdragon 865-ös testvérénél. Mindent összevetve, a Snapdragon 865 által hajtott Galaxy S20+ verzió számít jobbnak a két készülék közül.

Az Exynos SoC üzemideje most már legalább lassan közelít a versenytársakéhoz. Bár az Exynos 990 hosszantartó terhelés alatt viszonylag energiaigényes. A Galaxy S20+ esetében a Samsung csúcstechnológiájú töltését sem várhatjuk el, mivel a vállalat ezt a Galaxy S20 Ultra számára tartogatja. Nagyjából mind a Galaxy S20, mind pedig a Galaxy S20 Plus jelentős hátrányban van az S20 Ultra-val szemben.

Ez leginkább a Samsung által beépített kameráknak köszönhető. Valódi optikai zoom nélkül majdnem úgy tűnik, mintha a Samsung előnyben részesítette volna a 8K videót egy igazi telefotó lencse helyett. Viszont a vállalat több szinten is korlátozza a 8K videófelvételt, így pl. nem használható a zoom vagy az autofókusz. Hasonlóképp, a Samsung korlátot szab azoknak az opcióknak, amelyeket 60 FPS videófelvételeknél használhatóak 1080-től felfelé.

A kamerának ezen hibái sajnálatosak, mivel a Galaxy S20+ egészen jó fotókat készít. Úgyszintén, a One UI 2.1 modern benyomást kelt, és tartalmazza a legújabb biztonsági javításokat, míg a készülék AMOLED képernyője élénk és érzékeny.

A Samsung Galaxy S20+ trükkökkel rejtegeti a kamera gyengeségeit. Kiváló képernyője miatt még így is érdemes fontolóra venni.

Röviden, máshol kell keresgélnie annak, aki a legjobb kamerás okostelefont szeretné. Aki hűséges marad a Samsung-hoz, az jutalomként egy minőségi csúcstelefont kap, amely a Wi-Fi-jével, jó hívásminőséggel, megfelelően pontos GPS-szel, nagyszerű gyártási minőséggel és szervízelhető üzemidővel győz meg.
