Looking at some popular retail sites you can pick up the Core Ultra 5 model of the Prestige 14 AI EV for £999 inc VAT including a £100 discount and the Core Ultra 7 model for £1,049 inc VAT including a £250 discount. At present the Core Ultra 9 models seem only to be available in the USA. Given those prices you have to get seriously picky to criticize the new Prestige Evo 14 AI because it has all the basics very well covered. The bright 144Hz display is more than you have any right to expect at this price as is the standard 1TB SSD and cutting-edge wireless card while the efficient but potent CPU and high-capacity battery means you won't be forever hunting for a power point.

The strength of the MSI Prestige 14 EVO C1M is that it gives you good performance and a strong set of features for less money than most rivals. Some, like the Dell XPS 14 or Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360, can offer you more style, better specs or a superior OLED or AMOLED screen, but they’ll cost you a good £500 more. Only a few, like the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED, can promise similar specs and EVO certification at a similar price. Put it all together, and there’s a lot here for business buyers, particularly with the forward-looking connectivity, long battery life and decent ergonomics. It might not be the best laptop for every buyer, but in its own understated way it’s just right for the job.

Do note once again that this Intel-provided unit of the MSI Prestige 14 Flip AI+ meant for North American markets has a price tag of $1,299.99 (~RM5,101), and that’s not a bad price considering the performance and the laptop as a whole it is capable of offering. Give it a better display and improved stylus docking mechanism, and MSI will have a winner in their hands. Perhaps somewhat unfortunately for Malaysian markets, the variant we’ll get here (D3MTG-062MY, RM6,999) features Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor that is more conventional – it has the same core count as NA variant’s Core Ultra X7 (though the 386H has a higher TDP limit at 80W), but doesn’t feature the Arc B390 graphics that makes the laptop viable for AAA gaming; instead, it gets one-third the cores of the Arc GPU, so temper your expectations before you choose to buy this model in Malaysia.

The MSI Prestige 14 Flip AI+ is a stylish 2-in-1 with a lightweight and premium construction. The effective touchscreen and Nano Pen, coupled with the powerful spec and excellent battery life, makes it great for most productivity tasks. Intel Arc 7-Core: Xe LPG architektúrán alapuló integrált grafikus kártya (hasonló a dedikált Arc GPU-khoz, de a hatékonyságra helyezi a hangsúlyt). A 8 Xe magból 7-et (112 Xe Vector Engines) és 7 sugárkövetési egységet biztosít.

Intel Arc 140V: Egy elég gyors integrált grafikus adapter, amelyet egyes Intel Lunar Lake processzorok állítólag alkalmaznak. A 140V 8 Xe² architektúrájú maggal rendelkezik, amelyek akár 2050 MHz-en is futnak, és 8 ray tracing egységgel; DirectX 12 Ultimate-kompatibilis, és az összes modern videokodecet támogatja. Intel Meteor Lake-H:

Ultra 5 125H: Egy középkategóriás Meteor Lake családba tartozó chip, amely 2023 decemberében debütált. Ez az 1. generációs Core Ultra laptop processzor a 13. generációs Core chipek leváltására érkezett; 14 maggal (4 + 8 + 2) és 18 szálzal rendelkezik.
