A 11.6 inches Lenovo Ideapad 120s sokban hasonlít nagyobb testvérére, sajnos a hátrányaiban is. A méreten kívül a legnagyobb különbség közöttük az, hogy a kisebb gépben csak 2 GB RAM található. Gyakorlatban, ez erősen leszűkíti a multitasking képességeit, és megnehezíti még a netezést is. A fentieket leszámítva a két gép nagyon hasonló.

A kettő közül választani egyéni ízlés kérdése lesz. A kisebb gép könnyebb, mobilabb, és valamivel kevésbé melegszik. A 14 inch modellnek nagyobb a kijelzője, több memóriát pakoltak bele, és valamivel jobban teljesít benchmarkokban. A billentyűzete is jobb, elsősorban a nagyobb gomboknak hála. A kijelzője viszont láthatóan rosszabb, mint a 11.6 inches kistestvérnek.

Két fő pont segíthet dönteni, ha a két gép között ingadozunk. Ha egy kis notebookot szeretnénk, 200 dollár alatti áron, akkor a 11.6-inch Ideapad 120s a jobb választás. Néhány kompromisszumtól eltekintve nagyjából ugyanazt kínálja, amit a 14 inches 120s. Amennyiben a kényelmes gépelés fontosabb, a 14 inches készülékkel járunk jobban. Az ár lehet még fontos kérdés: a 11.6 inches modell olyan $50-ral olcsóbb, amely vonzóbbá teheti szűk költségvetésű felhasználók számára. Mindenesetre, mindkét készülék jó, bár korlátozott élményt nyújt, mérsékelt áron.

Nagyon korlátozott költségvetéssel rendelkező vásárlók, akik még 70 dollárt szeretnének megspórolni, és azok, akiknek egy kisebb gép felelne meg, csapjanak le a 11.6 inches Ideapad 120s-re. Ennyi pénzért - nagyobb testvéréhez hasonlóan - nagyon nehezen találni nála jobb ajánlatot.
