Méltatlan kijelző. A 400 ProBook-kal a HP egyike az első gyártóknak, akik Kaby Lake processzorokat használnak üzleti gépeikben. Tesztünkből kiderül, hogy sok pozitívuma ellenére miért nem győzött meg minket ez a 15.6 inches készülék.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

A ProBook 450 G4 tulajdonképpen jó alapokkal bíró gép: a ház megfelelő, és nem igazán van hibája, a fém csuklótámasz kényelmes, és a készülék változatos csatlakozókat kapott, ide értve a C-típusú USB-t is. Habár ez utóbbi semmi másra nem jó, csak USB-nek, mégis időt állóbbá teszi a gépet. A processzor teljesítménye elegendő, a billentyűzet jól használható gépelésre, és a touchpad is precíz. Végül itt van még a jó üzemidő, amely segíti az útközben történő munkavégzést.

Sajnos ez nem kompenzálja a gép legnagyobb gyengeségét: a borzalmas kijelzőt. 600 eurós árkategóriában még talán elfogadható lenne, de majdnem ezer euróért egyáltalán nem az. Ezen kívül is van még néhány gyengesége: az ujjlenyomat olvasó nagyon megbízhatatlan, és a processzor erősen melegszik terhelés alatt. A HP-nak kicsit nagyobb fordulatszámot kellene engednie a ventilátornak.

Kifejezetten szomorú: a gyártó egy egyébként remek gépet ront le egy olyan kijelzővel, amely ennyi pénzért nem elfogadható.

A ProBook egy dologban még mindig majdnem teljesen vetélytárs nélküli az üzleti szegmensben, mégpedig a processzor terén. Ez azonban hamarosan megváltozhat: már bejelentették a ThinkPad E570-et, amelyet érdekes lesz összehasonlítani ezzel a géppel, hiszen IPS panellel, és GeForce 950M-mel szerelik majd fel. 2017 elején pedig várhatóan további vetélytársak is érkeznek.
