Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

A Gigaset okosan döntött, amikor jó minőségű okostelefonjaival lépett be a piacra. A fogyasztóknak így a prémium kategória jut az eszébe a márkanévről. A Gigaset GS160 visszaránt minket a földre: a német gyártó nem tud csodát tenni a belépő szint korlátozott költségvetéséből. Ebből következően egy feltűnően nem feltűnő házat kapott a telefon, amely lehetne kicsit stabilabb. Hívásminőség, hangszórók, teljesítmény: mind a kategória átlagának felelnek meg, egyik sem kiemelkedő.

A Gigaset által beszerelt ujjlenyomat olvasó a kivétel. Ebben a szegmensben meglehetősen ritka, és még jól is működik. A képmegjelenítéshez sok eszközt kapunk, valamint a kijelző is nagyon világos. Az akkumulátor is sokáig bírja, a fogyasztás különösen kis terhelés esetén alacsony. A rugalmatlan memóriakezelés kissé kényelmetlen, és gyakran lassítja le a rendszert, vagy akadályoz meg bonyolultabb játékokat a szünetelésben, amikor másik appot nyitunk meg. A játékállás ilyenkor elveszhet, és az alkalmazás egyszerűen újraindul.

A Gigaset GS160 nem tökéletes, de a lehető legtöbbet hozza ki a költségvetéséből. Az ujjlenyomat olvasó, amely a szegmensben ritkaság, kiemelkedő.

Az, hogy a Gigaset egy ilyen olcsó okostelefonhoz is kínál kiegészítőket és alkatrészeket az online boltjában, kifejezetten szimpatikus. A szoftver kiterjedt testre szabhatósága miatt is plusz pont jár. A dedikált microSD hely a dual SIM foglalatai mellett, szintén javít az értékelésen. A kivehető telep jól jöhet azoknak, akik sokat utaznak. Ugyan a Gigaset nem alkotott egy összességében is kiemelkedő okostelefont, mégis egy kerek egészet hozott össze, amely kis extráival valamennyire behozza a prémium érzést a belépő szintre.
