Tanulva korábbi ballépéseiből, a BlackBerry bemutatja az új DTEK60-at, amely egy több, mint megfelelő okostelefon, elérhető áron. A termék fő erénye a megerősített biztonság, amely a kibertámadások korában kritikus pont cégeknek, és magánszemélyeknek egyaránt.

Az, hogy a cég átnyergelt Androidra - amellett téve le a voksot, hogy ne használják saját operációs rendszerüket - csalódást kelthet a rajongókban, de összességében egy ésszerű döntés, főleg a cég gyorsan zsugorodó piaci részesedésének fényében. A BlackBerry keveset változtatott az alap operációs rendszeren, kevés bloatware került bele, csak néhány jól kivitelezett fejlesztést kapott.

A telefon vitán felül nagy teljesítményt, stabil és vonzó házat, és meggyőző hangszóró hangerőt kínál. Ezen felül az akku üzemideje teljesen tökéletes egész napos használatra, a kamerák jó képeket csinálnak, és a nagyon világos, széles színspektrumú AMOLED kijelző is kiemelkedő.

Másfelől viszont, a memóriaelérés és a Wi-Fi is lehetne gyorsabb, bár ez csak apróbb probléma. Ami sokkal zavaróbb, az az egyes alkalmazások limitált használhatósága, mivel a megerősített biztonsági rendszer hajlamos szükséges engedélyeket korlátozni, amely az érintett alkalmazások összeomlásához vezet.

A DTEK60-ban megvan a potenciál, hogy a BlackBerry mentőcsónakja legyen, mivel a cég egy jól felszerelt telefont alkotott, amelynek sok erénye van, és az ára sem túl magas.

A céges piacon túl a magánszemélyek között is vevőkre találhat a készülék, főleg azokra, akik komoly multimédiás képességekre és extra biztonságra vágynak. Az utóbbi évek nem túl nagyszerű BlackBerry-jei után határozottan látszik a megfelelő irányba állás a DTEK60 piacra kerülésével – az, hogy ez az eladásokban is látszani fog-e, még a jövő zenéje.
