By incorporating those changes, the GM501 hardly feels like a compromise. Most users will not notice the difference in performance, however, when you’re catering to the enthusiast gamer, these things do matter. On top of all that as well you’re getting a fantastic hard drive system and what is perhaps the best-looking laptop currently available on the market. I really can’t stress enough just how fantastic this laptop is on every level. It’s just a slight disappointment that when unplugged, it does seem to gobble up the battery life really rapidly.

The Zephyrus M may be faster than an equivalent Max-Q notebook, but I don't think it's fast enough to make up for its lack in mobility. It doesn't seem to have made up its mind as to what it wants to be. It's slim, but it's also quite large and heavy, so it's not really pushing its advantage in this area either. Furthermore, the 55Wh battery doesn't seem enough for the laptop, and battery life is pretty poor.
