Drága olcsó játékos. Az Asus GL553VD király a koldusok között. Míg videokártyája pénztárcabarát lenne, a gép ára már nem az. Ugyanezt a hardvert kaphatjuk meg az MSI GL62M-ben, 100-200 dollárral kevesebbért. Amennyiben pedig lemondunk a Core i7-770HQ-ról a szerényebb Core i5-7300HQ javára, úgy az árak még lejjebb is mehetnek. Máshonnét nézve a dolgot, az erősebb GTX 1050 Ti-vel felszerelt Dell Inspiron 15 7000 ugyanennyibe kerül, illetve az Acer Aspire VX5 még 50 dollárral olcsóbb is.

Tehát mit is kapunk a magasabb árért? Az Asus GL553 egy hihetetlen, teljes RGB megvilágítású billentyűzetet, jól átgondolt hőelvezetést, és remek IPS kijelzőt kínál. A szerelési minőség felső kategóriás, a laptop remekül néz ki, és jó érzés használni. Azt, hogy ezek a dolgok megérik-e a plusz 100-200 dollárt, a vásárlók fogják eldönteni.

Azok, akik magas részletességen, és Full HD-ban szeretnek játszani, igazán nehéz döntés előtt állnak. Az Asus GL553 remek játékélményt kínál gyönyörű, és jól összerakott géppel. Azok, akiknek fontos a minőségi kijelző, billentyűzet, és az igényes külső, szeretni fogják az Asus GL553-at. Azok, akiknek viszont az a lényeg, hogy játszani tudjanak, és nem az, hogy hogyan néz ki a gép, amelyen teszik, sokkal jobb (és olcsóbb) megoldásokat is találhatnak.

HP Omen 15 még mindig meggyőző; annak ellenére, hogy előző generációs hardver hajtja, a teljesítménye hasonló. A vásárlók esetleg akár használt gépek között is nézelődhetnek, amennyiben még többet szeretnének spórolni. A Dell Inspiron 15 7000 videokártyája jobb, és SSD-vel van felszerelve, ugyanennyiért, tehát mindenképpen érdekes lehet. Néhány száz dollárral többért pedig már olyan gépeket kaphatunk, amelyek Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060-nal vannak ellátva, amely fantasztikus játékteljesítményt nyújt Full HD-ban, vagy akár még nagyobb felbontásban.
