Nagyon elégedett voltam a géppel, magasságokkal jobb, mint amilyennek gondoltam. Na nem teljesítményben, mert az adott, inkább maga váz, a felépítés. Mondhatni pont azért, amiért Acer Nitro. Plusz érdem, hogy a laptop remekül bővíthető, van benne 2 SSD és 1 HDD slot, továbbá támogatja a dual-channel RAM-ot, amiből csak az egyik foglalt gyárilag. Azaz ha netán mérnöknek tanulsz és később kell a sok RAM, mert CAD alkalmazásokat használsz, akkor is jó befektetés. Illetve ha sok az adatod, van HDD-nek hely. A mai világban becsülendő tulajdonság a bővíthetőség, ez a notebook pedig maximálisan eleget tesz ennek (is).

The new Nitro 5 delivers very good 1080p gaming performance for £1,700. That alone is a reason to consider buying one but it does have other attractive features such as an expansive and high quality keyboard, the facility to add a 2.5in HDD to the system, a MUX switch, a Thunderbolt 4 port and a surprisingly quick SSD. The absence of per-key RGB is a bit annoying and the battery life is short but I’d take those shortcomings given the performance per pound on offer here.

It all comes down to the question, is the Acer Nitro 5 2022 refresh worth it? I would say, absolutely yes. See, I’m not just going with a yes for the fact that it packs the Intel Core i7 12th Gen chipset. Absolutely not. From getting a 512GB SSD alongside a 1TB HDD, the RTX 3050 Ti, the refreshed design, port selection and pretty much everything else is great in here. I could go on and on about how Acer did give it their all with this one. Not to mention that the 4 Zone RGB is such an eye candy! Tools like NitroSense and Killer Double Shot Pro allow you to bring out the true potential of the laptop. From being able to set the RGB of different zones on your keyboard to setting fan speed and more, possibilities are endless. The fact that the laptop comes with a Thunderbolt 4 and RJ-45 port is another commendable thing I have to put out there. For a gaming laptop, the thermals are so well-balanced as well, thanks to the Dual Fan with Quad Exhaust Port. They really do take their job very seriously!

Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-47) review – still no sign of the real Ryzen 7000 series

Year after year, Acer has been improving on the Nitro 5. Regardless of the configuration you get, it is always going to be better than the exact alternative from last year. This particular device is no different, with the exception of its processor. Despite its wearing the Ryzen 7000 pants, it is actually an AMD Ryzen 6000HS in disguise – it features the same amount of cache, pretty much the same clocks, the same technologies, and iGPU. Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-47)’s IPS panel has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a good contrast ratio. Its backlight doesn’t use PWM, which makes gaming on the laptop for long periods of time, safe (at least in this aspect). Unfortunately, it covers only 53% of the sRGB color gamut, and the pixel response times are a bit slow. Not ideal, despite the 144Hz refresh rate. Well, the battery life is not stellar. We got about 6 hours of Web browsing or 5 hours of video playback on a single charge. You will definitely need a charger by your afternoon brake. By the way, the upgradeability is great with two SODIMM slots and two M.2 PCIe x4 slots. New technologies are not overlooked, and you can upgrade your memory with DDR5 memory sticks, and Gen 4 SSDs. The port selection is pretty good too, with the exception of the lack of an SD card reader, and Thunderbolt 4. Fortunately, you can use the USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) port for Power Delivery, and a DisplayPort output. Also, the keyboard is super fine for gaming. It comes with huge Arrow keys, decent key travel, and clicky feedback, which sort of imitates some mechanical keyboards. For sure it is better than the Razer Blade 15‘s board. So, should you invest in this device? Well, if you find a good deal – yes! But we would strongly advise you to search for the Nitro 5 (AN515-58). It’s Intel CPUs are faster, and provide a better battery life.

To sum up this review, the Nitro 5 that I have with me offers decent gaming performance, but it’s not necessarily better than last year’s Ryzen 6000 series processor, or the Intel 12th Gen CPUs. So, my recommendation would be to consider a year-old model of Nitro 5, like the ones with an Intel Core 12450H CPU or AMD Ryzen 6600H, which may now be available at a lower price and will offer you a similar level of performance.

A CPU-magok 2,6 GHz-es (alap órajel) Boostinggal 5 GHz-ig futnak, a valószínűsíthető összes mag Boost frekvenciája pedig 4,3 GHz. A Hyper-Threading támogatás engedélyezve van, így minden magon egyszerre két szál futhat.
i5-10300H:
Comet Lake architektúrán (4. generációs Skylake) alapuló processzor nagy és súlyos laptopok számára. Négy processzormagot integrál 2.5-4.5 GHz (4.2 GHz 4 maggal) órajellel és HyperThreading támogatással.

i5-11400H:
Tiger Lake (H45 sorozat) alapú csúcskategóriás hatmagos SoC játékra szánt laptopokhoz és munkaállomásokhoz. A hat CPU-mag 2,7 - 4,5 GHz-es órajelen működik. Az integrált UHD Graphics GPU 32 magot kínál akár 1,45 GHz-es órajelen. A chip a 10 nm-es SuperFin (továbbfejlesztett 10 nm-es) eljárással készül.
i7-11800H:
Tiger Lake (H45 sorozat) alapú, csúcskategóriás, okta-core SoC a játékra szánt laptopokhoz és munkaállomásokhoz. A nyolc CPU-mag 2,3 GHz és 4,6 GHz közötti frekvencián működik. Az integrált UHD Graphics GPU 32 EU-t kínál akár 1,45 GHz-en. A chip a második generációs 10 nm-es Intel SuperFin eljárással készül.
